November 7th: Midtown Scholar Bookstore from 9 am to 4 or 5pm - 3rd Street in Harrisburg.
http://www.midtownscholar.com/

I'll be posting detailed directions for how to reach the store. There is street parking around the Border Street Market. This is a very nice independently owned store that has plenty of room.

November 14th: Panera Bread in front of Camp Hill Mall from 9 am to 3 pm.

November 21st - Midtown Scholar Bookstore from 9 am to 4pm

There will also be a book signing there. This is pulled from their website:
JUMP STREET SPONSORS "THE BIG READ": Keynote address by Mike Silvestri - Saturday, November 21st, 2 PM.
"I Blame Ray Bradbury" - With tongue firmly planted in cheek, author Mike Silvestri will explore the unintended consequences of Ray Bradbury's legendary novel, Fahrenheit 451, from the invention of the Walkman to the end of civilization as we know it. Silvestri will also autograph copies of his most recent book, It Came from beyond the Sun, a collection of original and entertaining science fiction short stories.

November 28th - Panera Bread from 9am to 3pm

Should we rsvp to these individual events? Or can we just show up all willy nilly in a bathrobe and fuzzy duck slippers with a bubble pipe and laptop?

HA!
Well, you can but I take no responsibility for the looks you might get. :D

I would like everyone who thinks they might make it to RSVP so that I know how many chairs to tell them.

ex.

November 7 - RSVP
November 14 - RSVP
November 21 RSVP
November 28th - This is the start of the shopping season and Thanksgiving. If people are doing things with their families, I can change this one to an on-line event for everyone. Please chime in.

Consider this my répondez for the write in on November 7th and the 28th. I work until 12 on Saturdays, so, I won't be there until about 12:30-ish.

I'm not sure about the 14th and 21st yet. But I'll let you know as soon as I do.

I can't promise I'll wear the fuzzy duck slippers, but maybe on the last weekend, as I'll be recovering from Black Friday (both working and shopping).

See you there!

I'll try to make the November 7th one. The others are wayyy to far ahead in my schedule to say anything about though.

Hi, I truly was intending to show up today, but overslept! (I'm just getting over the flu... stupid fatigue)

However, I'll be there for the 21st!

My best friend and I have been having mini-write ins during the week in various locations, but our current favorite is the new Giant on Linglestown Rd. We've sort of claimed on of the tables in the Marketplace. (we were there Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday). If anyone wants to join us, feel free send me a nanomail message and I'll let you know where we'll be!

Other possible locations:

- Panera (Union Deposit)
- Sandella's (Shops at Susquehanna)
- Borders (Colonial Park)

Always looking for fellow writers! :-)

P.S. we both are employed, with full time day jobs, so our writing escapades occur in the evening after work. :-)

It was great meeting everyone at the Midtown Bookstore today. I enjoyed it, and look forward to doing it again in a couple weeks. Good luck to everyone! And thanks, Nellie, for the stickers--they're AWESOME.

I second that. Even if I was only there long enough to be distracted by all the shiny books. And that edition of Arabian Nights. *WANT*

But, I digress. It was good to see everyone and put faces to names, even if my visual memory is usually fairly faulty for specifics. heh.

Now. off to the grindstone I go. hehe.

Hey, Gigglebear, you have my permission to buy the Arabian Nights book when you make your 50K goal. How's that for an impetus?

Sorry, guys. I thought I'd be able to make it today, but it's not looking good. Midtown's just too far away, and with moving from one house to the other, it just didn't happen. I did write with you in spirit, though. I got almost 5000 words done!
