Write ins will be at the Borders beside the Park City Mall on every Sunday (11/8 to 11/29) from 10am to 3pm. At the moment I'll be in the Cafe section unless I can find where they have the comfy chairs to sit in. :)

I am sure I will get to a few of these. Since with my luck i will be working most Sundays. Is there a better place to work then a borders?

Someone had given me two spots to look out but since I haven't been really in Lancaster for over ten years to know what is available, if you know of anything, please let me know. :) I picked Borders as it was easily accessible.

I didn't realize until last Sunday that the bus to park city doesn't begin service until about 1:30.
So, unless I only come for an hour I'll probably have to miss the write-ins.

Oh, I probably won't be able to come to any then. If, on average, I get home on Sundays around one, then I'd have to drive for half an hour to get to Park City at 1:30, to leave an hour and thirty munutes later. Somehow I feel that's not going to fly real well with my parents, because that doesn't include me eating lunch either. XD
An hour of driving for an hour of fun... maybe next year when I can drive myself. *lol* Saturdays would have been better.

Well that's one thing to mark down as a change is to have Lancaster on Saturdays for next year.
Cross: Is that any bus at all or just the one that goes by Park City?
I was looking at a cafe on Chestnut street across from the Dog Star store and was going to check into their hours but if buses still don't run till that late, and the place closes early... I can change the times so that it starts later, like around noon so that people can still enjoy it and not be sitting alone for a while but I don't know how late the busses run but if that is the case I can drive people as long as it isn't far. I head back on 283 so I pass the exit for the Millersville exit, if needed.

It might just be the Millersville bus to park city (as well as other buses servicing Millersville). Other buses in outside areas might start sooner on Sundays.

I'll figure this out yet.

Is it okay if my mom or my friend, Alisa, come along?
I'm not really allowed to go to a write-in on my own. Haha. Isn't that cheap?
Yeah, I know it's just normal, but would anyone really mind? I doubt they'd bother us much at all and Alisa is a published author and might actually have some good advice.
Let me know if that would bother anyone.

Chestnut Hill Cafe is open until 8 pm every evening. Sundays they have live music from 3 - 5 pm, so it gets rather loud and crowded then.

I'd love to check one of these out, but I've got a silly question- What's a write-in? Do we all just get together, huddled around our laptops and coffee? *hehe*

Yup, pretty much. If someone gets stuck they can ask questions or ask for a little jump start. Have like 15 min word sprints if they want and all that. ^.^

There is always the Prince Street Coffee in Lancaster... across from the Fulton Opera House. I have been doing NaNoWriMo from California, but I'm now back here in PA for Thanksgiving, so I'm looking for a write-in to join. Is the Borders get-together happening this sunday?

I will be there, working to get my word count up, wearing a NaNo shirt. :)
