I had an inspired idea. :) I work at the Mark Twain House and Museum in Hartford, and we have a cafe. The cafe isn't up and running, but there is a space, with tables and chairs. I thought it might be fun to have a write-in there. There are bathrooms, there are snacks available in the gift shop, and we could tour the house of one of America's most beloved writers. (It's a beautiful house, in case you haven't been there!) Right nextdoor is the Harriet Beecher Stowe House, which we could also tour.

If anyone is interested, it would be on either November 14th or 15th, due to my full-time (not Mark Twain) schedule. Feedback? Possible dates? If we get a big group I might be able to get us a discount on tickets.

Not trying to step on anyone's toes! I'm a member of the Shoreline region but I thought I'd just invite people to this event from wherever they are in CT and see what kind of group we can assemble. :)

Sounds like fun, but I'll be in Vegas those days.

I'm very interested in this. I'm sure my S/O would be as well. The only rub being the unknown schedule next month. Hopefully we'll know more pretty soon.

This is a real possibility for me, and a very cool idea. Keep us posted!

I love this idea to bits! Why don't we put it down for the 14th, barring anything unexpected? Maybe 1pm, and we can do the tour and schedule in an hour or so of writing after? I haven't been in years, this sounds wonderful!

Thanks for the awesome suggestion!

This sounds amazing! I go to school in Hartford, and yet I've never toured the Mark Twain house! I'll be there :)

I'm still waiting to hear from my supervisors at Mark Twain about which day works for them. :) As soon as I know, you'll know!
