I know a lot of municipalities do a kickoff pre-November to just meet and party, but I'm thinking let's meet on November 1 at Borders in Plantation, out by Sawgrass Mills, from 1-3 pm. Bring your computers or notebooks or whatever you're writing on, and I'll bring some NaNo swag and, and we can begin writing fiendishly!
If you could sound off here if you plan to attend, so I know how many goodies to bring, I would much appreciate it!
Jodi

I'll be out of town but I'll be there the following weekend. I personally plan to do my writing in the evening so I probably won't get there until 3 at the earliest. Just thought I would mention it in case 1-3 is the set time for meet ups.

Both myself and my poor boyfriend will be there. He is doing NaNo but has no idea what he's doing. I'll make sure I request the day off.

@lalabee - sure! I'm a teacher and I've got some of my students participating in NaNo. Not sure if they'll come to the kickoff, but everyone who wants to play is welcome.

Awww....
I was going to drop by - and then I noticed I had work that day. Store closes at four, so I'll be there a bit later in getting out. How long do you think it'll last at the Library?
EDIT:
Dumb question, I just saw, 2-4 :p
Anyone planning on staying much later? Otherwise I'll just head home to start my own kickoff.

Hi! doesn't look like I'm going to make it this Sunday after all. Hubby got into a bad fender bender Friday on I-95 and the car's in the shop. Oh well, maybe when the car's back in action.

Oooh cool swag! People who have actually completed NaNoWriMo and have a clue about this thing. People who are new like myself, and all in the big nice Nova library, ultimate ground zero for literary nerd types.
I am so there. See you Sunday.
