I was wondering what everyone's favorite places to write (outside their home) are. I know we're all big coffee shop fans, and my friends and I recently went on a "coffee shop tour of Greeley/Evans." To our surprise, there were many more coffee shops than we thought; to our dismay, most of them close ridiculously early. Anyway, here's a list of some what we visited [excluding Starbucks, which doesn't count in my mind].

+Margie's Java Joint - 10th Ave and 16th St - closes at 7 (at least on Mondays)

+Your Place Coffee - 2308 W. 17th St. (in the strip near Walgreen's) - Open till 9 p.m., great atmosphere, AND they have BUBBLE TEA (I've been looking for Bubble Tea in Greeley FOREVER) http://www.yourplacecoffee.com

+Deja Brew - 818 31st, Evans (weird location for a coffee shop, but I've heard they're good) - closes at 6 p.m. except Sat. (9 p.m.)

+The Buzz Coffee and Gelato - 1923 59th Ave - Their website says they close at 9, but I was there once and they closed at 7, so... but they have good coffee and GELATO (another thing I was excited to find in Greeley) http://www.thebuzzcoffeeandgelato.net

+The Coffee Shop next to Morgan Floral (I have no clue what its name is) - 23rd Ave and Reservoir Rd. - You have to really LOOK for this place, it's pretty hidden. You'll see the yellow "Great Coffee" sign out front. They close super early (like 5 or 6) but the place is really cute and cozy, and the coffee is good.

There are other coffee shops in Greeley, I'm sure, so if you know of any, go ahead and add them! Also add other places you like to write (I LOVE diners, truck stops, parks, libraries, etc)

Whoops... sorry for posting twice. My computer hates me, and it doesn't seem like there's a way to delete it...

I remember there is this cute coffee shop on 47th Ave and near 20th St, but the name totally escapes me at the moment. Red Roaster, maybe. Anyways it was close to where I used to live and next door to my favorite local bookstore. I'm super hoping that both those places are still open. I know there are so many more places, too, but I just can't remember them off the top of my head.

Oooh bubble tea? Fantastic! I know Salvador Deli had bubble tea but I believe they closed down. I'm going to have to check these places out (except for Margie's, I'm already a fan of them. Their Lexi sandwich is amazing).

And as a side note - if anyone ever wants to check one of these places out and have a write-in there, let me know! I'll add it to the calendar of events. :)

The coffee shop on Reservoir doesn't have a name. Prices are fairly good, and they are rarely busy; so lots of room and little pressure to leave. Don't know about outlets, though. If there are crafters among you, it is in the same building as Country Crafts. I have a sort of vested interest. Country crafts is the best place in Greeley for Embroidery supplies; so I want the shop to flourish. We hold stitch-ins there, and there's no pressure to leave, but please remember. I'm partial, so the rest of you might like other places better. .
