Yay, I wanna be the first one!

Dare: Have a character who loves abandoned houses
+ if she breaks into them at night time
++ if she convinces some other characters in your story to come with her

Dare: Have on chapter written in notes characters send to each other

Dare: One of your character wants to break up with her/his boy/girlfriend, but doesn't want to hurt him/her, so before breaking up she/he tries to find a better partner for the boy/girlfriend
+ she/he actually manages to find a good one
++ after pairing those two, she/he starts to miss his/her ex-girl/boyfriend
+++ she/he tries to win him/her back

Dare: Have one character, who never uses doors but climbs in or out from the windows instead
+ if she/he does that because if she/he would use a door, she/he would end up being somewhere random no matter where the door is

Dare: Have a character whose sense of touch is multiplied
+ if the character is really afraid of touching because of this
++ if the character fells in love
+++ if the multiplied sense of touching leads to problems between the character and his/her love interest

Have a hockey player show up in the middle of your story.
BP if he's trying to play in the NHL.
DBP if all he ends up doing is driving the zamboni.
TBP if you include a song about how he drives the zamboni.
QBP if he is Sidney Crosby and he has decided he wants to drive the zamboni for a living, not play hockey anymore.
(If you do this one I want to know how you do it.)

Use the following line: "Don't worry, my little kangaroo, I will protect you!"
BP if it's said to a SO.
DBP if it's said to someone who's NOT a SO (completely unromantic/unrelated person).
TBP if they are actually a kangaroo.
QBP if nobody cracks up laughing.
Cookie if it's said by the MC to the villain during an epic battle/fight scene.
Two cookies if he's serious and he goes over to protect the villain.

Start your novel (or a chapter) with the phrase "It was a bright and sunny night."
BP if it suddenly becomes a "dark and stormy night" midway through the paragraph with no explaination.
DBP if you never explain how it's a bright and sunny night.
TBP if your characters do not live on either the North or South Pole.
QBP if your characters reference this but do not seem to find it odd.
Cookie if one of them does and then gets slapped and is forced to hold their tongue for the rest of the chapter.

They're kind of lame but do what you wish with them :)

This looks like a hilarious thread, and I wanted to put in my few bonus points ;)

Dare: Have one of your characters say "I'll give you a cookie if you do this for me." to another character.
Bonus Points if the character actually gives said other character a cookie.
Double Bonus Points if it's a chocolate chocolate chip cookie.
Triple Bonus Points if the character your using for this is the MC.
Quadruple Bonus Points if your MC says this to the villain in the middle of the big end fight.
Quintuple Bonus Points if the villain accepts.

Made and is going to use this next one :D

Dare: Have your MC constantly in all sorts of trouble/always has one problem or another.
Bonus Points if whatever your MC gets into is completely stupid and/or silly (Bombarded with acorns by pissed tree sprites).
Triple Bonus Points if your MC had nothing to with why the problem started.
Quadruple Bonus Points if your MC totally looses it and goes berserk.
Quintuple Bonus Points if have this happen to more characters than your MC.
One of those chocolate chocolate chip cookies mentioned earlier if you make this how they beat the main bad guy/girl.

DBP if the characters who die are the [number of chapters] between MC and the throne/presidency/what have you.
TBP if everybody thinks MC is killing off the characters to become the ruler.
QBP if in the last chapter it's revealed that MC actually was the one killing the characters off.

I don't know if this was covered in the first thread, but I'm not going to read all 500 posts!

Name each of your chapters after movies!
BP if they have absolutely nothing to do with what's happening!
DBP if they actually DO have something to do with your story
TBP If you include a line of dialogue from that movie in your chapter.

I'm doing this one!

:D Putting my two cents in on this thread.

Dare: Have your MC find out where is Waldo?
BP: If Waldo is the villain.
DBP: If the MC runs through a Where's Waldo convention with everyone dressed up as Waldo.
TBP: If Waldo's been stalking the MC the entire time.

...that actually sounded funnier in my head. Oh well.

Dare: The MC is on a quest to find out... who stole the cookies from the cookie jar?
BP: If that's the entire plot
DBP: If everyone else besides the MC already knows who stole the cookeis from the cookie jar.
TBP: If the villain stole the cookies from the cookie jar.
QBP: if it was the MC who stole the cookies from the cookie jar (and is trying to cover up their guilt by blaming someone else)

DBP if the other characters take this as normal and think nothing of it
TBP if one of the ways the immortal character tries to kill themselves involves a cheese sandwhich and a staple gun.

Others:

Dare: Have a character answer a question with "Suspension of disbelief"
BP: This actually answers the question
DBP: This is no way related to the question
BP & love: you understand this

Dare: Have someone walk into the bathroom while your character is in the shower
BP: it's your MC
DBP: it's someone of the opposite sex
TBP: it's a plot point
QBP: it's a recurring theme

Dare: Have a chapter be based on something from MLIA or FML
BP for each chapter written this way
TBP: end the chapter with "MLIA" or "FML"

Have an MC date five different people at once.
BP if none of them know it.
DBP if they all DO know it and continue to date the person anyway.
TBP if they take their five boy/girlfriends all on a date at once.

Make a character participate in NaNo. (That's lame, but it's not the only part!)
BP if it becomes a major plot point.
DBP if they browse the Dares thread.
TBP if they include this dare in their novel.

Have a character who is very superstitious and is obsessed with chain emails/texts.
BP if they get all freaky on other characters who don't pass along chains.
DBP if one of the chains actually comes true (e.g., "if you don't pass this along your mom will die...")

These are kinda lame...

[quote=Celedë_Anthaas
My favourite dare from last year (it got me 10 k in about two days!!)

- Write Chapter X (can be about anything)
- Then, write a chapter called 'Once more, with pirates!', which is essentially Chapter X, but with pirates.
- Then, write a chapter called 'Once more, with pirates AND ninjas!', which is (logically) Chapter X with pirates and ninjas.

I accept your challenge and think my MC will be absolutely dumbfounded by it!

Plus it'll give me a lot of deja-vu moments which are always fun ^^

DARE: :Have your MC go hunting.
BP: If they manage to kill their game with a fork, spoon or spork.
TBP: If the manage to kill their game with a lunch tray.
QBP: If what they're hunting runs away and your MC says "I lost the game", and subsequently makes your other characters lose the game as well.
OVER 9000 BP: If what your MC is hunting is giant, man-eating pigeons who speak with Brooklyn accents and comment on how delicious your MC and their party is.

I would totally like to read an excerpt of this if you do it! xD

Dare: Put a streaker in your novel.
Bonus Points if the streaker is just some random person your main characters comment on during a very important discussion in the story.
Double Bonus Points if the streaker isn't a random person.
Triple Bonus Points if the streaker ends up being a crucial character in the story.
Quadruple Bonus Points if the streaker answers all the questions the MC needs answered.

Here's what I'm dropping off:

Dare: Have a male character babysit a large number of little girls.
Bonus Points if they subject him to a makeover.
Double Bonus Points if they dress him up too.
Triple Bonus Points if he has to go home wearing both the dress and the makeup.

And thanks, Probit_Return for using my dare. I hope you have fun with it :3

This is funny. I'm not going to use it but it reminds me of the Resident Evil: Outbreaks. In those two games there is a character who has a lucky coin who you can make flip randomly even if zombies and monsters are in the room.
