Thought I would mention that Wendy's is open until midnight--so that's the kickout time. See you there!

Won't they be surprised when novelists walk in with their laptops -- order lots of caffeine -- and of course, the laughter that will invariably happen.

Too much fun.

Actually, Wendy's is excited about our coming. Of course, they probably have no real clue what they are in for. ;~D

Looking forward to too much fun!

Can't wait. As of Right now, I'm stoked for November to start.

Any possibility of scheduling a write-in in Tulsa proper or east Tulsa? West-side is a little far for some of us Broken Arrow folks to travel.

I'm holding write ins on Friday nights at my house in South Tulsa. They are by RSVP only as I need a definite head count and need to send directions via nanomail. Check out the Friday night write-in thread if you haven't already.

I wouldn't mind seeing some write-in's in N. Tulsa or Owasso area. That sure would save me a LOT of driving and I could stay longer. Anyone?? *puppy dog eyes* Please??

I'm traveling in from 20 miles this side of the Arkansas state line. I've got room for three other people. It's going to take me the same amount of time and gas to go alone or with company. I'd just as soon have company.

Who wants a free ride to Wendy's and back?

Only TWO PEOPLE CAME...INCLUDING myself!

It really ISN'T that far away and you guys don't have to stay until it closes! I definitely expect more people on Monday! *angry grumpy face*

**ETA**

I wrote THREE THOUSAND WORDS tonight! Can any of your afford to miss Monday night and NOT write 3k?! Please come! It really is NOT that far, it only took me 10-15 min to get here from 91st & Sheridan (it'll take much less time if you live midtown & north!) and it is an AWESOME location--pretty quiet! FREE WI-FI! And food and drinks and COMPANY!

Don't think I won't release the Inner Editors... *evil laugh*

Too bad you guys missed the Wednesday write-in.

I had a blast and crossed the 10,000 mark! I also learned some tricks on the NaNoWriMo website and learned somethings about Noveling that I didn't know before. (Thanks Amanda!)

Wendy's is great: free wifi, good coffee, no waitress to tip, really great southwest salad, lots of tables. AND it's only 14 miles from TU.

See you all there next Monday!

I'm glad you at least weren't by yourself! Of course, I'll be there tomorrow night, and I should be able to make it to the Monday night one next week, unless something comes up. But yeah, Wednesday just wasn't going to happen. Glad to know it was productive for you two, though!

Ooh, now I wish I had a vehicle to get there. I'm probably not as urgent as everyone else because the friend who made me sign up gave me a microdeadline of 15000 words instead of the usual 50000, but I am still curious as to what a write-in is like.

I dont mean to be rude or offensive, but whose bright and brilliant idea was it to schedule the rest of the write-in's on Mondays?... I'd come to them... if i didn't have a class at that time. :(

I'm sorry that the Monday Write-Ins don't work for you but we still have Friday Write-Ins. As I stated in October with a region of almost 300 there was no way I could find a date and time to work for everyone and that is why I chose to have two weekly Write-Ins. The Monday night Write-Ins go from 7pm-12a, surely your class gets out before then! Come right after class, grab some dinner and sit down and write! It is an awesome location!

Yeah it starts at 6 and ends at 8:45. But then there comes a few more problems.
-I don't drive myself (no car or license... which seems strange for a 19 year old. Well ,not strange for a 19 year old with strict and concerned parents. Anyways onto further ranting
-It's hard to obtain transportation from your parents (because they're the only ones who trust them to drive me) when they know what you're doing, why you need a ride, how late you'll be out, how they dont trust 'others' to take you back to campus...
-Hard to find others on campus that are doing NaNo and probably dont have transportation to get over to that location. I know one person and I "met" her around campus just recently... but i have no idea if she has a car or any way to get to the location either.
And finally,
-Things would be a bit easier for me if the write-in's were within walking distance of the campus... hmm.

...but If i can't make it to any of the write-in's on regard of all mentioned above, I'll *try* to make it

On a random note, I'm a little curious to know about how you Municipal Liaisons plan things. I just want to be aware of how things are done 'round that part of the NaNoWorld. That knowledge would be good for future reference.

I'm not sure which school you're coming from, you may have mentioned but I don't remember, but we have SEVERAL TCC participants and even more from TU. At the Write-In last night we had 2 from NSU. I'm sure a carpool is feasible.

I have done my best to make sure that the Write-Ins are conveniently located (trust me guys, even the Wendys really IS easy and close!). As a Municipal Liaison I am obligated to only 1 weekly Write-In in November and we have NINE on the calendar. In the first week of October I took scheduling suggestions from Wrimos and did my best to plan around those suggestions.

As I said before I am sorry that Mondays don't work for you. If you want to get a small group together for a Write-In on campus that is fantastic and I'd be more than happy to make an Unofficial Write-In post with the stipulation that it not be on a Monday or Friday night.

I hail from TU.

I' guess I can try to do that if possible and if I dont forget them. I tend to forget things a lot as well. Another problem is I dont know how to get the two out of the three (that includes me) people that go to TU that have posted in here ((I'm sure theres more somewhere)) [and perhaps maybe other writers] on an unofficial write-in somewhere on campus. Also, i wouldnt know how small I'd want this small group to be either. I'll see what I can do.

You're a great help, Amanda. :)

Hey guys, Happy Sunday!

I'm curious how many people are planning on heading over to Wendy's tomorrow evening. I have this really cool thing I want to bring along but it definitely requires more than 2 participants! I just don't want to lug it around if its just going to be Nancy & I again! Trust me though, it is going to be AWESOME!

I will come, if only for an hour. I might have to be at work at 6 am on Tuesday, if things keep going like they have been >_<, so I can't stay late, but I will come for a little while :D. It's only 3 miles from my house, so it's very convenient :D

Had the screen gotten worse? Shoot me an email tomorrow afternoon if this is still the case. I can bring my alphasmart neo to the write in monday night and the USB and you can use it. Then when you're ready to leave I'll just email you what you've written! I did this for a girl on Friday night and it was awesome!\

You should definitely come, with at least 4 of us I can bring the box!

Also, if anyone is in S. Tulsa and wants to carpool I work at 91st and Sheridan and can take 2 people in my car. If you want to meet me at my job just before 6p (thats when we close) I can take you to the write in and bring you back to your car. I will probably stay at the write in until 11p. Nanomail me to let me know!

The first Monday night write in was great. Six people showed up. We had sooooo much fun. And I got in another 2,000 words--catching up on the cushion I lost over the weekend. Can't wait to do it again next week. =~D
