OMG! This was amazing. I expected maybe six people to show up and 12 did. We grouped in booths near the lottery area and typed away to our heart's content once the clock struck 12:01 am, of course. Bouts of keyboard clicking punctuated by occasional conversations continued for three hours. Yes, once the time change happened, we simply relived the hour from 1:00 am to 2:00 am.

All told our group finished at 19,680 words. I figured we'd make 12,000. I was blown away and very proud of everyone. Amanusa had the highest word count at 3,123, and I had the lowest at 775. The average per person was 1,640. For our first serious write-in, this is impressive. What a way to start the month!

Roll Call included (in case you can't remember who you want to buddy): yourpalal, TempestDra, Amanusa, Kyrina, Bahnree, reddening, lackofself, dustyfro, Demitri, KitSeason, and your MLs, Darfinkle and Twilite.
