I live on the UCSC campus and don't have any transportation other than the lovely bus, and I kinda want to go to the kick off party. Since taking the bus alone is kind of depressing, I was wondering if anyone wants to do a carpool or awkward bus adventure with people they've only just met. Does this sound like a good idea to anyone? |

Depending on how many people who want to come out to the party need to take the bus, it might be worthwhile to organize an "awkward bus adventure" anyway. I know I was mostly figuring on the buses, myself, for getting around to events this month.
So - is there enough interest in organizing those of us taking the bus to go out together? Or would people rather use this forum as a way to organize carpools?

I am all for awkward bus adventure. Or awkward carpool adventure. but I think awkward bus adventure would be better, because it has the potential for infinite expansion. The more the merrier! Anyway, I'm in.

I talked to Celebel and she said that the only bus passing Ugly Mug doesn't leave until some indecent hour, so she and some other mystery person will be riding with me. That means that I have room for one more. Are YOU the one? If so, PM me and we'll figure out some pick-upping mechanism. And don't worry. We can still make it plenty awkward.

So I am carpe-ing the diem and going on a road trip with my new best friends instead. I'm really sorry. You guys are my new best friends too, and I wish I could be there. But hey- this makes more room in cars! Have fun being awkward, and I will join you another time.

Well, I guess we'll let you off this time - but you'd better make it to a few of the write-offs, if only to up the awkward quotient! And if you're going to carpe a diem, this next seven are the diems to carpe - before it all goes to hell and you've got 50,000 blank words to fill in!
