I was contemplating a possible write-in for November; but I have no clue about the number of Richmond Wrimos - maybe it's just me and Erivic. Would there be any interest?

(maybe Blenz in Steveston? it's slightly on the smaller side, but it has the necessities: drinks, food, bathrooms, internet, plugs - also, Starbuck's coffee tastes like old socks and Waves' employees are rude)

I'm in Richmond! But I'm all the way up near Richmond Centre with no car.

If Blenz Steveston is on Bayview (as Google seems to indicate) it's a reasonably direct 30min bus ride, though, so it could be doable for me.

I'm also in Richmond but way in the east. I have a car so location isn't really the problem - time is.... Lots of evening commitments. Let me know when and where and I'll try to make it.

I hail from Richmond these days. I'm super flexible, seeing as the majority of my work is done from home. I'll definitely attend any Richmond write-ins.

I live in East Richmond. I'm pretty busy but if i was an evening (post 8pm thing) and not a Tuesday i'm sure I could maneuver an evening to write.

I disagree with Artemesia's comment that Starbucks coffee tastes like old socks. It tastes like burned old socks.

I'm in Richmond, just down the road from Steveston. Blenz would be fine with me.

Are you sure it'd be okay to drink coffee whilst writing, though? Has anyone ever tried that? How can you possibly type fast enough to keep up with such a torrent of ideas? Maybe we should record ourselves instead—or borrow an MRI unit from UBC and download real-time images of our brains to Flikr.

Okay, I found the little 'a'—now how do I put the circle around it?

Well, November's practically here, and I've no clue as to a good date for this write in - probably a Friday evening or a Saturday? 7th may be too short of notice...

I've never been to a write-in let alone try to organize one, even after reading the little how-to thread I'm awkward at this ;_;

The 7th is plenty of notice for me, if anyone is interested in setting that as our concrete write-in date. I'd say sometime in the afternoon. Perhaps 1PM?

Perfect! I put it in the "Write in" thread, but I'll paste the details here.

Blenz Coffee House -- Steveston
#105 - 3900 Bayview Street, Richmond, BC

October 7th @ 1PM

Free wireless.

How to find me (specifically): I'll be sitting at the table with the Nanowrimo poster hanging off it. That way, you don't actually have to know what I'm wearing that day 'cause I'll probably forget and end up wearing something different.

I'll get there a bit early to snag us primo seating. Remember to bring your laptops' AC Chargers. I'll try and bring a spare power bar for us to use but it's always good to bring one, just in case my brains get eaten by wild Richmond zombies. Don't laugh. They may exist.

See you on the 7th. :)

I'm in Richmond too but quite possibly a bit too packed timewise to do a meetup this month or at least try to think bout the potential of one till the last week of the month.
