It's so exciting, we've only got a little over a week left!

So, kickoff party - Saturday 31st October is Halloween. Do people want to do a kickoff that evening or have a kickoff breakfast on the Sunday maybe? Whereabouts would you like to go?

I was thinking maybe an all-day write-in kickoff at the Pancake Parlour? They have free nets and are open from 7am to 9.30pm and it's kind of traditional :-) That way people can come and go as they like during the day? I will stay all day so no-one would feel lonely. Maybe kinda weirded out, but never lonely :-)

What do you think? What would you like to see?

Sunday sounds good to me - wondering how fast I can type with maple syrup all over my keyboard.

oh that sounds like fun!

Sadly (well....not really sadly. Clearly my priorities are in order :) ) I'm getting married Oct 31, so it would probably be frowned on if I went to an all day write-in the next day...that being said, count me in for the next one!

A kick-off breakfast on the Sunday sounds good! I'm not free on the 31st unfortunately, but am planning to be in town on the Sunday anyway, so I can easily show up and meet you all.

ManicSpider - will you be easy to find?

Oh, the Sunday would definitely be awesome =] A kickoff breakfast...with pancakes and coffee...is the perfect way to start NaNo!

I've got tests to study and homework to do, so I can't promise that I can stay all day, but I will stay as long as I can! My parents already tried to ban me from doing NaNo cause of tests O_O

Does anyone mind if I bring a baby? I'd really love to come along, but obviously I can't leave her at home alone. I promise she'll be well-behaved! (At least, she usually is...) hehe

Sunday sounds perfect to me.

I'll probably make an appearance sometime during the day. My boyfriend is having a halloween party so chances are I will have a rather large hangover but I'm sure I can drag myself out for some writing :)

Babies are fine ^.^ Personally I love kids and can't wait to have my own.. but lack of man and needing to sort out finances are more of a priority...

I'm sure she'll be a darling.. ^.^

Count me in sunday... though I may be a little tired if I am dragged to this cricket trivia night thing by my dad and brother on the 31st....

Shall we dress up in belated halloween fashion ^.^..

[I love dressing up]

I'd love to come along! This is my fourth Nano year and I've never managed to make it to an event but this might well be the year. I will keep my eye out for the blue/purple heads. I am terribly conventional so won't be recognisable ;)

We are never hard to find... although I do admit to saying my first NaNo everyone had disappeared on the original meeting spot when I got there.. I got there in the end though.. Yay for me..

I'm definitely there, with bells and whistles..

YAY! Kick-off breakfast in the Pancake Parlour!

And the best thing is, it's the first day of my three week holiday! Yippee!

...Gosh, that's a lot of exclamation marks...

So, keep an eye out for blue and purple hair, gotcha. :-)

I may be there. Just gotta check the work schedule - but if I can be there, I will. And probably kidnap any babies in sight. I'm the gosh darned cluckiest sixteen year old you'll ever meet, and my brothers are heading on three, so they're just not babies any more. So if you blink and your child is gone... ^_^

Might see if I can drag my best friend along too. This is her third NaNo, but I don't think she's registered. Sounds like fun!

I won't be able to get there for an early breakfast.

But I'm hoping that I'll be able to make it there later in the morning
