Hey everyone,
I'm a Lehigh grad student so I live in Bethlehem. I've tried doing Nano for the last few years and never managed to make it past 15000 words. Going to try again this year. I don't know what my plot or story will be just yet. haha.
Are there any meet ups set for the Lehigh Valley?
Also, I'm looking for a local writing buddy. Let me know if you're interested.
Thanks!

Meet-ups are currently being hashed out even as I type.
This will be your year, Rose, I can feel it in my finger bones. Actually, not all of them, just the last one on my pinky. The one that tickles then burns when you say you're going to try again this year. YES!
:)
I was able to come up with my plot while on a train ride in New Jersey, so keep thinking! Maybe after the first sentence is written on November 1st your plot will come to you like a bull in heat. You just never know.

Um, bulls don't go into heat. Now if the plot comes charging like a bull sniffing heifers in heat . . . well, that would certainly be exciting. ;-)

You'd think after spending 12 years living next to a cattle farm, I would know stuff* like that.

bull in heat? *snicker* that would be something to see.
Hopefully this will be my year. I seem to always have to choose between school and finishing my nano. We'll see this year. I count it a personal win if I can at least do better than last year. Improvements are always good :)

I actually live in Montgomeryville area on 309 and I wasn't sure whether to join here or Norristown since you're both an equal distance away, but I would love to be a part of any meet ups which take place.
I'm 23, and I'm going to be working on a historical novel this year. Hopefully I can finish it. For Nano usually get to chapter 4 in my story then get writer's block. I'm sure meeting up or having a local writing buddy would help!

Hey, I'm from Lehigh too! There are a bunch of us here, and we might be having a kick-off party in Dravo A-Lounge if we ever stop being lazy and decide to get it together. It will most likely include our traditional Halloween watching of the Rocky Horror Picture Show.
We have a facebook group if you're in the Lehigh network: http://www.facebook.com/home.php?#/group.php?gid=27725328699
