This thread is for wrimos in the north area--Huntersville, Concord, Mooresville, etc. Feel free to use this to set up write ins and help motivate each other for the North Word count win!

So is there anyone in the Mooresville/Statesville area? That's the most convenient area for me...well, not exactly CLOSE because it's still 30-45 min away, but it's better...

Cabarrus County, here. In four years of Nano, I have never met for a write-in before. And I've never won, either. Hmmm....maybe the two are connected.....

So does anyone want to get together for a kick-off sometime before November 1 in maybe Mooresville or Statesville?
And if you do want to get together, any suggestions for a good, easy-to-find location?
Cornelus is, what, around Exit 28? And Mooresville about Exit 42? And Statesville around Exit 50? I'm about half an hour east of Exit 50. So is there someplace sort of in between?

Mooresville is actually exit 36 and 33. Troutman is exit 42, which is where I'm at. I work at the Arby's directly across from exit 42, you can't miss it. I could probably arrange something there, but there is no WiFi connection. I might even be able to get everybody a discount. Another good place is Panera Bread in Mooresville near exit 36. It's a little harder to find if you don't know the area, but they have WiFi.

Hello, Gary here.
I live in Mooresville. I work in Statesville, and go to church in Huntersville. This is my first time doing this. I don't know how much I will be able to participate in a group meeting, but I will at least check the thread for times and places.

I'm in Concord, and it's so rare that I find someone who also writes anywhere near here. Such a pity

So glad to see people in my area joining Nano!
I'm in Mooresville and will be at Panera on November 2nd at 11:00 am if anyone wants to meet me for a write-in.
From North: Take exit 36, turn rt off exit, at Williamson/Bluefield rd take a left. You'll see a Starbucks on your left. Panera is in that same strip.
From South: Take exit 33, turn left off exit, travel Williamson almost until you hit hwy 150. Panera is on your right in the same strip as Starbucks.
Let me know if you plan on coming. See you there with your laptops a hummin'

Sounds like no one can make it to Panera tomorrow. I'm going to stay home then and write in my P.J.s:)

Write-ins for me would have to be weekend or night only. I have to work 11am-5pm every weekday.

Ditto, most days I am working 8:30-5:30. I'm also working this weekend.
Luckily I got a solid start yesterday, so as long as I can write in the evenings I should be more than on track.

I'm setting a goal to reach 40K by the end of tonight. That means 3000 words today--I'm starting at 37,004 words. Wish me luck!
UPDATE: I reached 39K so I am going to take a shower!
