Just curious to see if there's anyone else here from the Owen Sound area. I'd love to find someone local to have as a writing buddy, especially if we can arrange to have one or two write-ins at a local cafe.

Hi,
I am from Wingham area - not real near but closer than Kitchener or London is to me - at least in mental distance. I've done 2 years - last year was a wash but the first year was an eyeopener - and never done a write-in though it sounds like fun.

Hi, Jodi! Please add me to your buddy list and message me with what day/times would work best for you, and I'll try to set up a write-in for us all. The Frog Pond has some of the best coffee/lattes in town and has great food as well...and I believe also has wireless access. I think it would be a great spot for a write-in.

I'm in Owen Sound if anyone wants to get together. It would be great to have some people to bounce ideas off of or just to have writing company.
And...there's a new writer's group in Owen Sound. They meet the first Thursday of every month, so this Thurs at 7pm we'll be meeting at the community centre in Bayfield Landing. It's building number 51 at 2150 9th Ave East. 2150 is the number for the block of houses. It's the left turn just before St Dominque school (which is just before Notre Dame school).

I'm battling a flu bug at the moment (and appear to be winning, yay), so I think I should skip the writer's group this time around. I really don't want to pass this along, whatever it is.
Would everyone be up for meeting during the afternoon/early evening on a weekday? At the Frog Pond or something like that?

I'm free after 4:30 on weekdays, but weekends are good too! Frog Pond is awesome.
I was going to suggest a weekend write in. My building has a common room/game room on the first floor and I can see if we could book it for a few hours one day. I like the idea of a Sunday morning write in, but I realize not everyone wants to be up and doing stuff on a Sunday -even though you can wear your jammies over.
If this sounds cool, let me know and I'll book the room for a day/time we like. Monday and Wednesday nights it's busy. I'll bring down the coffee maker and kettle and we'd be good to go!

How about a write-in on Wednesday Nov 11th about 4:30 at Frog Pond? (I get off work at 4:30)
As far as I can see they are only open until 6pm.
I've emailed everyone too in case this doesn't get checked before then.
