Is there anyone out there?

With a week and a half to go I was just curious to know if there is anyone in Mesa/Delta/Ouray county participating this year, and if so, I could use a few extra writing buddies.

Thanks!
Marie

Hi - I'm in Cedaredge. I had a lot of things going on in October & had completely let this challenge slip my mind. Now I'm frantic. I am WAY behind in developing my story line. I have probably enough story decided to write about 15 pages. Then what??

I'm in Delta and I'm looking forward to this challenge. I found the Grand Junction group is meeting for a write in at the Borders on Sunday. Anyone from here going to that? I am. I think it will be a great way to jumpstart things. But I'm always looking for other writers in the Delta/Montrose area to connect with.

yo W.S.

howdy doody ya'll typing fools - that's all this is, right? Just typing and too much of some sweet, which is why it's golden that it starts the day after Halloween while the kids buckets are filled with lots of good candy to pick out.

I'll have to join in for some of the get together fun. But for now, typing.

Be Writing or Be Dying, (or should I say Crying instead of Dying? Isn't dying too dramatic? But crying too wimpy? Oh, the writing quandaries to waste time on.)

* I encourage you to buy more books of fiction. You don't have to read them, oh no, just go and empty your bank account in purchasing stacks of lovely bound pieces of paper with ink splattered on each page. They collect dust nicely and don't require daily

Cedaredge. It's not about what is IN your head regarding your novel it is about what is NOT in your head. Just start typing and forget plot and content and oh dear am I saying this well enough? No one will read what you wrote, no one will care if you spelled things right, used the right tense, jumped from past to present. If you fret about all those things and are just a regular person or full time employed or going to school or have responsibilities to 16 cats and dogs and perhpas children, you won't write the required words. Last year I did my 50,000 + words on my book. This year another 50,000 words. In the grime and chaos of that crappy manuscript I find good writing and I'm thrilled, but that happens during the edit process and not the Nano bang it out and get it done process.

Best of luck. Hope to join you in the winners circle.

Writing or dying it is. Dying is never too dramatic. Keep those fingers moving

I am here in the Grand Valley. This will be my third time. My 2006 novel just passed the final edit and last year's has just been through a first thorough edit. Lots more to do on that one.

It is SO liberating to turn off the Inner Editor and just go at it will-he-nill-he/willy-nilly! Have fun!
