Official Regional Kick-Off Party!

The Library will be closed to the public… but open to us! What better place to kick off an event that challenges us to write a novel, than surrounded by books? Join your fellow WriMos before we embark upon this crazy 30 day journey together!
Park in B lot or C lot and enter through the main entrance (has big blue sign above doors and is marked as entrance 1) and look for library entrance on left side of hallway.
Also on the 80 MCTS bus line, enter through doors at bus stop, turn right, enter through doors at the bottom of the stairway, and turn left. After you go through the third set of entrance doors, proceed down the hallway (going west) until you reach the lower atrium. There will be a large two-tiered stairway going up (there is elevator access to the left of the stairway). The library entrance is at the top of the main stairway.
There is no fee to attend, but feel free to bring a dessert or snack to share (bringing treats is not required, but those who do will be entered into a special door prize drawing). Beverages will be provided. Swag bags & official stickers will be handed out to participants while supplies last!
Although the party is obviously for the purpose of getting together the region’s WriMos, please let me know ahead of time if you are bringing a spouse/child/parent/etc. with you so that we have beverages for everyone (do be warned – they’ll be roped into the icebreakers with everyone else!)

I'd really like to come--I MapQuested it and found it it's about 0.70 miles from where I am right now. It's also my friend's birthday, though, so there's a 50/50 chance I'll be there. If I go my friend will be in tow most likely.

I'll make sure to only bring the few that only drink wine, and are self centered enough to 'know' that everyone knows them well enough that they don't need name tags. That should work out.
And so others know, I'm bringing cookies and two types of cake chocolate and lemon, so for those who were unsure as to if they were going to show up there's a little something extra to help tip the scale. It's gonna be awesome.

According to our regional stats, about 1/3 of those participating in our region are new as of this year. Every nano always brings new people to the group, so you can expect that there will be icebreakers at the kick-off so that we can get to know each other.
There are some small groups (I would say in the range of 4 to 6 people per group) that are known to gather throughout the year, but our big regional group is a gathering where a lot of people will meet new people. (in other words, everyone who is there will be new to at least some of the people there). Hope that makes sense... if not, blame it on Monday! ^_^ Hope to see you there!
