'ello.
I was wondering if there were going to be any meetings before November.
I've tried to Nano the last several years and have never gotten beyond, I think, 13k words.
I have an idea for what I want to write, which is both more and less than I've had in previous years, and I would enjoy a chance to talk to anyone else who's writing in Fulton about their books as I try to define mine.
I could really do for some enthusiasm leeching considering my track record, but this is the first year I've worked full time (previously was a student) and so this time around I'll have a set number of hours at the same time each day to devote to this. Hopefully that'll be the difference, because I remember last year writing 90% of my attempt during Thanksgiving break and then becoming swamped.
Anyway, how about it?

Sorry, I've been so busy between work & the kiddo & getting submissions out, I didn't get anything done pre-nano. We are, however, going to do a virtual kickoff starting at 12:01 a.m. early Sunday morning. Send an email to me at lorijr@ktis.net at the top of every hour (you get 2 entries at 2 am - daylight savings time bonus!). Each email will be an entry into a drawing for a NaNo poster - and it is REALLY cool!
We're doing the kickoff party at noon at the Fulton Pizza Hut . . . be prepared for goodies galore, pizza, soda . . . and lots of tips and tricks from past winners to inspire and motivate you!
Also - I'll be at Bek's from 4 - 6 tonight (well . . . I'll probably have to leave a little early) w/ the book sale. Feel free to stop by & have a coffee w/ me & we'll talk NaNo! (and that offer applies to anyone who'd like to come by!)

Eh, wish you'd replied sooner... oh well.
Can't make the Sunday morning (except in spirit).
STILL have no clear idea what to write... hopefully something will come out by then.

Ooh, I want to come to the kickoff party at Pizza Hut. Should I just show up or do I need to know like the name of the group or anything?

We would love to have you at the Pizza Party! You can just show up - I think there is only one meeting room. The name of the group is either Callaway Writers or Nanowrimo - not sure how Lori booked it. Just ask for the "witers" if you don't see us. We'll be the group with the red eyes and the laptops.
