Ok, I suck at names, but who's hanging and writing in the City of Joy?!?!?!
I propose a Nov 1st meet up at Barrista on Comac St near the Pantaloons for all and sundry. Shall we make it 9am so we can get the day off right with a little caffiene and a whole lot of writing?!?!?

Yeah, why not?
Errr....do you mean to write there in the cafe, itself? Because I prefer typing to writing by hand....so err.... how does that work?
HELP???

Ditto, and I no has a laptop. D:
Also, 9 am is just a smidge early. x_X Mostly 'cause I live in Salt Lake and will need a while to make the trek to Camac St. xD

Hmm... now that's going to be a problem. Though I do have a laptop, it's heavy and doesn't have enough battery life....
Ahh, the pains of being an author! ;)

I'm more than willing to go somewhere else and a different time, cuz yeah, I wrote that and then went "you a crazy, crazy woman!" I only arrived in Kolkata in mid August so I don't know many places yet. And we don't have to write if we don't want to. We could just chat and see how the novels are going. I'm pretty open to whatever you guys would like!
Also, as for the typing thing, I usually do type on my netbook, which only has a 3 hour charge. :( So I wasn't thinking an all day thing, just a few hours to get together and cheer each other on, but again, I'm flexible.

I'll be there in spirit! Though I don't live in Calcutta any longer, the city flows in my blood and I miss it very much :-) Happy writing!

Yep, still here! I need to think of a later time for the Sunday morning meetup. Is 11am good for everyone? We can sleep in and then get to busily writing?
And we're still on for Barrista on Comac St. just past the Pantaloons?

I'm going to try and have these once a week so we can vary the dates/times and places to eventually it should be convenient for everyone to come at least once or twice.

Only 820 words so far :(
I'm also writing a screenplay for a fee so giving priority to it. Should finish by tomorrow evening.

Okay, 2000+. I feel much better but that screenplay needs attention now.
Let me know if you guys are planning to meet somewhere this weekend.

Is there a central location equidistant to everyone that has power points so that we could do a proper Write-in next weekend? (I have an extra laptop someone can borrow for the right in if they need it).
I'm in Central Kolkata and am willing to travel so long as I know the address to give to the taxi man.

Well, I don't know about a write-in, but how about a meetup on Monday the 9th? Dolly's teahouse at Dakhinapan, 2:00 pm? Drink lots of iced tea and gab? :D
I have (tentative) ayes from two people thus far, but any and all are welcome!

Yes, Nanos that's right! The City of Joy is having a write-in. I've got 1 tentative yes, and I'll be bringing my extra laptop if anyone is without. Hoping for some high word counts, some word wars and getting everyone together to get that creative juices flowing!
Again that:
Barrista Cafe on Comac St. (Just past the awesome smelling dump and next to Jananta Furnishings)
11am Sunday November 15th!
Let's see us get to 25K shall we?
