So this is for those who are doing NaNoWriMo as a recreational subject at Lake Gininderra College. SInce technically Jenny is not allowed to create this for us I have taken it onto myself. This is a place where we can discuss, well just about anything.

Goodluck to you all.

Hey guys,

I was just wondering about how you went about getting NaNo listed as an R Unit? How many units do you get for it? I'm at Bundah, and wondering if we could run something similar.

We had a great english teacher and an ambitious year twelve, together they got it organised.

We are getting 0.3 for it I think, and maybe 0.5 if we spend enough time, ie. go for 50000 words.

Goodluck with your efforts to do the same.

Hi Jade,

It'll depend on whether you have something similar to our "English Studies" R Unit. We're doing Nano as the major project under that, and there's a few restrictions/demands I've made to ensure that we get the time and the work and it's all legitimate. So... we're calling it the Nano R Unit, but it's actually "English Studies R", and we're focussing on Nano as our project, setting a decent word limit and spending the time on it. Most of our Nano-ers are also working in conjunction with the English T unit "Writing" -- so it's all one big happy tangle of words!

If you want to join us in an unofficial capacity here on the forums, feel free to! We are friendly...and we have badges...and I believe someone over there has chocolate...

Jenny (I'm the teacher :D)

OK GUYS!

This is really exciting! Come down to the front office at 11am SHARP tomorrow. If you need to straighten your hair or wear your best shirt, do. Some people from the Department of Education's media team want to talk to one or two of you in person.

DON'T FORGET! Remember also that tomorrow lunch/E line is our meeting if you can make it.
