I was just wondering if anyone has come up with a plot yet. I know I said I was going to wing it this year but I came up with something that I decided to go with. It’s pretty silly, but that’s what I was going for because last year it was murder trying to write a proper plot. Plus, while it’s technically sci-fi, I can change the genre whenever I get bored... And I get to use pirates whenever I want.
So yeah, this is my plot synopsis;
“A classic twenty-something loser, Jamie Phelps has been cursed with a life of mediocrity and bad luck. A college drop-out, living out of his parents basement he’s unable to keep a steady job and is terminally repellent to the opposite sex. To say that he hasn’t got an awful lot going for him would be a gross understatement.
So, you can imagine his shock when he accidentally discovers the secret of inter-dimensional travel; a Atari ST, Monkey Island, faulty electrics and a large glass of lukewarm fanta. Unluckily for him, before he can announce his findings to the world, and finally change his fortunes, he’s going to have to find his way back through the constantly unstable and shifting rift in the fabric of realty that he has created.
And so begins the most epic journey that a loser has ever been called upon to make…”
Anyone else got a plot/idea they want to share?

Atari ST and Monkey Island with Inter-dimensional travel???
Brilliant... I think I love you! Lp.
Your character is repellent to the opposite sex, it's nice to know I inspire you. :P
I still have no idea what I'm going to write about... *sigh* I've not even decided on genre yet.
----------I can see this year being an epic fail for me. :/

I can't decide which one I'm going to do. I've got 8 to choose from. These range from loosely plotted to only having a title and nothing else.
I was going to do the plotted one which is interdimensional aliens and medical research but I like the idea of starting with nothing but a title.

Haha, that sounds like an awesome plot! Loving the Monkey Island reference!
I've got a rough idea of my plot, but I'm terrible at summing things up in a short synopsis. It's basically about a clocktower that rises out of the centre of the kingdom's capital city in a shower of eviction notices. The King rallies adventurers to get to the bottom of this problem before they're evicted by their unknown Landlord/Landlady.
The story focuses on a street urchin (is this rather cliché?) whose ability to rally people is counter-balanced by his lack of hygiene. Adopted as a flag bearer by a group of adventurers, they set off to find who's responsible for the clocktower whilst under the added competition of other adventurers with more self-beneficial motives.
I'm still not sure about it though. I reckon it could do with some tweaking and I haven't named anyone yet.

I do actually have a plot, but no fancy blurb like that. Also would like to show appeciation for Monkey Island!
Mine is about an assassin whose guild has gone from professional to ridiculous. They try to kill him so he plans revenge on the guild masters and it just had a lot of betrayal and killing. It started from this short story: http://beccalicious.deviantart.com/art/FF1-Swords-Guild-127949769

Everyone's ideas are sounding great this year... except yours Chris (or rather lack thereof) you suck :P

All sound pretty cool, go you guys with ideas!!!
Well, I have a bit of an idea, I think it's going to be pretty random though and not ready to share with y'all. But, it's a horror. Which is really no surprise as I've just completed a Cinema Extreme course, got a night full of zombie films tomorrow and a Horror film course next month.
