Looks good, Sylista!

I have a mini synopsis up, but not too detailed, yet. Need to get started on it to know where it is going :)

I'm actually starting to get worried...the start is coming up so soon, and I still have so much research to do! My story involves a girl that travels through history, and well....there's so much more that I need to read up on. I'm trying not to overthink the story, but that might be impossible. Oy.

Sometimes what I do is highlight and add a bold red note to myself that I need to research, then move on to the next scene and write until I hit a mental block. Then I go research, which sometimes can help me get over the block and get going again. :)

Yeah, well, I'm currently already working on a sequel to my first one, so I thought I would throw out a comedy for NaNo.

Today I will be reading my last year's novel to discover what I wrote. Then I hope to be ready to think about what I'll start writing. But I am reading Rupert Sheldrake's Presence of the Past and read The Roots of Coincidence by Arthur Koestler last week. I just feel more unprepared, which could be a good thing if you are a dyslexic in a parallel universe.

OK, mine's up. It's very short, though.

I read a snippet of this at Open Mic in September (when I realized the story was nagging at me, I wrote enough of the opening scene to make sure I wouldn't forget the basic plot -- but don't worry, I won't count those words).

ROFL!!

OK, here's the thing: they're NOT dead, they're just not. Either that, or you're writing paranormal and didn't know it.

LOL. Always, always, you're going on about somebody's cat.

And always, always, I have to look it up again. Sometimes having a spotless mind is a pain.

That is a wonderful insight! This may help me work them back into the story...

Especially since what is going on now has to do with assembling some unknown device, that does some unknown thing... (by people who don't know what they are doing...)

It fits!

After 21,000 words, I think I have finally figured out what my novel might be about. At least for the moment. It seems to change on a whim.

As it is, I've finally written my Synopsis.

It was supposed to be a love story. But now I think everyone is going to die, kung fu style. This novel writing is a bizarre journey into the violent depths of my brain.

(On a happier note, my husband is enjoying my bizarre accounts of characters gone berserk so much that he has decided he wants to play next year! Yay!)
