I organised a couple of write-ins in the Sovereigns pub in Woking last year, which went fairly well. Therefore I thought it could be fun to go back there again.

Come along and meet the other writers in Surrey! I think it will be fantastic fun!

http://www.emberinns.co.uk/thesovereignswoking/findus/

Sunday 1st November from 2.30 to 5.30.

They do pretty good food, and good beer, so if you fancy turning up early and having lunch we're likely to be there.

Look forward to seeing you there!

Bring pens / paper / laptops / fluffy toys / mascots! I will try and reserve us an area, so please do comment if you'll be coming along!

Note: There are a few powerpoints but please charge your laptop before you come as we will have to be discreet about charging / adhere to health & safety re trailing cables etc.

I will try to come along! I play football at 2 so if there is a game I may not make it back in time for 5. But if there are to be more write-ins dotted through the month I will try to make those!

I'll definitely try and make it! I'm a NaNoWriMo newbie and have a vague inkling of a story but need some motivation...
(Live in Farnham, so if there is a Farnboro group going as well, that would be even closer!)

There seem to be at least two of us in Farnborough. I suggested the Costa in the town centre (Farnham has some much lovelier places, doesn't it?) but no takers yet, at least nothing concrete. Let's see what we can do...

How about it, folks? Any takers? Farnborough, or maybe Farnham?

Strong Language- definitely sounds like a plan! If nothing else, could just be the two of us!?

The more the merrier, but there's nothing wrong with two, definitely! What's your availability like, and how mobile are you?

I will totally try to be there on the 1st though it depends on how things work out over the course of the day!
I've never written with anyone else before so it should be interesting to see if it's something for me or not! :-)
See you in ... OMG... 4 days!!! ARRGGH!!!! Characters need naming and fleshing out and plot needs a few more... well THINGS to happen!

Quick question - does the Sovereigns have wireless, do you know?

Hi!

There are nanoers at my uni, but since they decided the first week of nano was a good time to have no classes so everyone disappears home, we've gone from a big group to currently two of us.

Two people looking for some meetings to butt in on :D *hint hint*

Unless anyone can recommend anywhere better. We're at Kingston University, the best places seem to be Basingstoke, here and London. (the three closest, anyway :p)

Hey there,

If you're still going to be in the Sovereign this Sunday would love to come and join you for a bit. That is the one next to Blockbusters right?

I'll be there... look for the blonde lady with either a million pens and notebooks and post-its or all the previous plus a laptop (not sure I can borrow OH's yet!)

See you on Sunday!

Dear All

Just to say how wonderful it was to see so many people at the Sovereigns today.

I have posted the names below in case you want to catch up / buddy each other, going round the table clockwise from me.

As you will be aware, we have now agreed to meet there EVERY sunday from 230-530pm somewhere in the section down the steps to the RHS of the bar. There will be a Nano logo and probably a few fluffy toys on the table, including the large purple fluffy snake!

Any other people are most welcome to join us - the Sovereigns is a great pub that does good beer and good food.

Look forward to seeing you next week!

Please also add the first Sunday in December to your diary for our "TGIO" party.

How lovely! I will try to make at least one of the meet-ups, depending on whether I can get time off (for good behaviour?) from t'o-m and the children ....

How's the first day gone? I hit just over 4k today, but this story has been nagging me to write it for the *longest* time ....

I would have loved to have been able to make it but unfortunately i do not drive and so getting to Woking from Frimley on a sunday just isnt possible as the buses are a nigthmare on sundays, i will try to get one or two of them though as and when i can. I wish there was a meet nearer me that way i can join in with you all as they sound rather fun. So any one from Camberley, Farnborough if you want to arrange a meet up closer to home then i am a willing participant.

I hit over 4k too and i shocked myself by doing so as i didnt realise that i had it in me to start the novel so well and with such a good flow especially after being ill with a fever and sinus trouble for the past tow days. I am just as excited about this now as when i signed up weeks ago.

It was great fun to meet everyone and write together :-) Count me in for the next few Sundays - if all goes well I'll definitely be there! :-)

Can't say the novel is going great though I'm not willing to give up this time! I'll get to 50,000 even if every single word is meaningless drivel! (and I'm sure it will be but at least I'll win!)

See everyone next Sunday!

I didn't make it (as you now know!) because we had to go to Gravesend to play football. I will definately be in next week though! I'll probably get there about 4:15. Hope you all had a good, productive write-in! :)

Hope to see some of you at the Write-In tomorrow... I'm hopelessly behind in my wordcount and need to kick some serious a** to get to 36k by the end of the week. Preferrably to 40k since next week I'm busy as hell, AGAIN.

See you there! :-)

I've discovered the solution to everything: BACON! Well actually it was you guys who did the discovering and the telling. I'm the one who was able to eat my soup without gagging, so thank you.
If this sounds cryptic, just trust me. Whatever you're stuck on? Throw some bacon at it.
