You are awesome Jen! I wish I could be there, but I will be spending 8 hours in the van. I'll be writing on the laptop though, so I'll be with you in spirit.
Good writing all!

I should be there along with my daughter and possibly her friend as well. I've got a cold now and hopefully will be well by next week.
And of course I will be bringing any leftover halloween candy!
Thanks Jen!

I wish I could come by, but will be helping a friend with his party that day. Will take a few to write, probably on paper rather than on computer for the first day.

Ooooo... Halloween candy! Hmmm... I might see if I can drag Kathy out with me for a couple of hours. I'm not sure we'll both have a laptop by then, but we'll see what we can do. I suppose we could use one of those notebook things... and a pen...

Eeeee!!
(censors rest of teenage spazz panicking glee)
I know that library! <3 I can actually go there! 8D Lately I've been looking at all these write in stuff feeling sad that I couldn't go 'cause I'm not even legal to drive yet and imagine telling mom that you want to go the half hour drive to North Charlotte to write for five hours with a bunch of strangers.
Lol.
I totally squealed when I saw this! 8D --runs around in excitement-- Count me there. SO count me there.
...I think I even know where that ROOM is!

Hmm...I really hope I can make this. I don't know where this is and I don't drive. By the sounds of it, the bus ride will take forever (generally anything with 'South' in the name is far, far away from me), but I'll do my best as I missed the Kick-Off. :(

OK,
Here is who has responded in the thread that they are attending the write-in:
Emerald Dragon
Emerald Dragon's daughter
Emerald Dragon's daughter's friend (maybe)
Justtra (maybe)
Kathy (maybe)
MynaOphelia
Camithegreat (maybe)
and Me
So that's 4 yes's and 4 maybe's.
The library says the room seats 15, but it's really more like 8-10. If more people show up, we can spread out to the tables upstairs, and possibly the other meeting room upstairs. I'll bring extra table tents, just in case. It's cold in the room, so you may need a sweater or jacket.
Let's make the most of our Day 1 Momentum!!

Hi!
I just wanted to say it was great meeting everyone today at the write-in. I definitely got more writing done here than I would have at home. :-) Thanks Jenn for organizing the write-in! Good luck everyone....

It was great! We had 13-14 show up (all female), and thankfully some at different times. So we never had a problem accommodating everyone. I think everyone got a lot of words on paper and is off to a good start.
We wrote some affirmations on the board, and I think the best was something like:
"We are the sexiest writers ever!"
And thanks to the providers of sustenance (candy) and Play-Doh (stress relief). Yall rock!
