Ok, I boldly joined this region, rather than the Indy one. Anyone else in Lebanon? Gotta be, I figure we've got a Starbucks now and all...

*waves* Me, me! My husband and I just moved to Lebanon at the beginning of June, after getting married end of May of this year. Someone recently asked me where I was from actually, and I said "Lebanon." and they said "Where?" and I said "Lebanon." Then they said "You must not be a native... You would have said Leb'non." lol.

I decided to join both this forum and the Indy one, since we're about right in the middle. I lived in Lafayette last year, so I went to a few write-ins there. I'm hoping that I'll make it to more than one or two if I'm part of two different regions. We'll see, I suppose. My husband and I actually live a few miles south of town, but no one knows where "New Brunswick" is! We go to church at First Baptist there in Lebanon.

We should definitely try to do something, at least once, at the Starbucks.

Enoria -- glad to find someone here...yeah, it's pronounced "Leb-nin". Gotta love Indiana..."Ver-sayles" and "Roosh-ya-ville" and all those interesting pronunciations.

Yes, we DEFINITELY need to meet at Starbucks! Let me know when, I have a very flexible schedule.

This is my first go at NaNo...scared, excited, ready for about anything.

Thanks,
Lafftur

Unfortunately for my husband and me, we're going down to Alabama on the third of November and we're not getting back until the eighth :-( I'd like to do something in the afternoon on either Sunday or Monday before we leave though - I'd have to ask my husband, but do you think we could get together around four-thirty or five-ish on Sunday for a Lebanon kick-off party? He'll have to leave for work by 6:30, but that would give us an hour and a half to two hours. We could meet either at the Starbucks or at... I don't know, the library maybe. Let me know what you think!

Oh, rats! I wish I had checked this during the day on Sunday! I was busy with church and visiting my family and just didn't check it. (and actually I wrote this post yesterday but for some reason it didn't come up) We went ahead and went to Starbucks - it was my husband, my cousin, and me, lol.

We're going to be leaving tomorrow for Alabama, so we're not going to be able to have any meet-ups until Monday at the earliest. Would you want to do something next Tuesday around 5:00? (my husband has to leave for work at 6:30 that night, so that's why 5:00 keeps popping up). We could meet either at Starbucks or at the Library (do you know if they have internet there? I know you have to pay for Starbucks internet - or at least, you have to buy their little card thing).

As I said we're leaving for Alabama tomorrow, in the early evening, so after about two in the afternoon I won't really have much internet. I think I'm just going to PM you with my phone number, so if you don't respond to this thread by Tuesday afternoon than just give me a ring, because I don't know how often I'll be able to have internet access after that.

Sorry it didn't work out Sunday - let's hope this next time works out!

Just pushing this thread up so any other Lebanese folks out there will see that others like them do exist! :-P

Trying to plan a date for Wednesday afternoon, around 4:00, either at the library or at Starbucks.
