The Kick off party is this Thursday only a few days away! It will be at the IHOP in Turkey Creek at 7 pm. Please RSVP on this thread so that I can get a number. I will be calling IHOP in the next day or so to reserve some tables! I am not sure how long I will be there. I may end up needing to bring my son because the babysitter is not able to watch him. But looking at other options for him! ---------- |

I've got a dinner meeting with a graduate school admissions counselor at 6 p.m. that night, but I'm only going to be over at the Calhoun's at Turkey Creek, so in theory, I can get there.
I'm going to tentatively say I'll arrive at 7:30 p.m. I'm probably not going to be eating since I get free food at Calhoun's (always a plus!) but will most likely join in with any coffee drinkers. So... yes, I'll be there, and yes, I'll most likely be late.

I think there are probably going to be more people who show up than who actually RSVP, and IHOP should be pretty flexible about being able to add tables if we need them (or chairs). If you call them, you might suggest that we're not entirely sure how large our part will be (maybe say around 10-ish people or a few more depending on how many people RSVP tonight) but that we might need a little extra space should more people show up.
On a side note: what exactly are we going to be doing (besides enjoying IHOP's coffee and foods)? I was wondering if I needed to bring anything with me...

I have reserved a spot for 20, since that seems to be about the number that showed up for the preplan party. Nope, I do not think you need to bring anything. I am getting some goodie bags together to hand out so you will have stuff in there if you need to take notes and such.
I see this as one last relaxed day before we all get the crunch time of pounding away the words. As well as help those that are still at a loss of what they are planning to write about.

I'm so sorry to have posted on this thread so late, and especially the night before, I feel awful. I just made my account today though and found the Knoxville group.
I would love to stop by tomorrow night. I will probably have to depart at around 7:30pm though. I have a show at the Valarium that I am attending at 8pm.

I will be there eating/socializing/MLing till relatively late, tonight. My lady-pal is going to the show at the Valarium, so I don't have a lot to go home to till pretty late. . . sort of sad I'll miss the show, but it's alright. Plenty more good stuff coming through Knox in the coming months.
Now. . . if only I could decide which of two plots I'm going to write this year!
