I think the title says it all. It's just a poll for fun to find out how many of you will be blank paging it and how many are outlining.
My plan was to outline but I got really busy trying to wrap up another novel before NaNo begins. Now I only have a vague idea that I'm thinking of chucking out the window at the last moment.

I am working on an outline.
I have a lot of ideas and the outline is helping me logically decide where and if they should fall on the time line. I am also working on some vague character sketches so that my characters don’t change to much in the course of the story.

I sort of go for a combo...I like the freedom of a blank page...you know...just makin' it up as you go, no idea what's goin' on...
At the same time though I like to outline the basic premise of a story, and I have been known to outline a character every once and a while...
If I had to go with one...I'd say outline...

Well..... I would have said I'll have a rough outline for the beginning until I looked at my "outline" I did 2 years ago and realized it's the first three chapters of the book (I was born blond).
So, instead of the lovely anthropologist with her moral dilemma, I'll be writing the 3rd book of the trilogy, which is actually a prequel. I have a pretty good idea of where it needs to go, based on the first book and the "outline" for the second. It answers the question "Why and how would and entire village pull away from civilization and what happens to those who won't cooperate?"

My 'outlines' are solely for characters.
For the most part, I write scenarios for each character to get a better feel for them and their personalities -- if Joe Smith's business was crashing just after tax season, how would he react?
Little things like that so I can avoid having Bi-Polar characters.

I always intend to work from an outline, and always end up starting with a blank page.

Hi Folks. I'm going with blank page for this one. I seem to always end up using too much energy in the planning steps. Someday I'm gonna make something of all these outlines, index card scene collections, and file folders of characters... You know that gives me an idea. Dump them all out, mix them all up and see what comes up. But that's another project. :)

I started outlining a few ideas a few months ago...and then...I seem to have misplaced the file, so I'm blankpaging it, with an internal outline.

I let the movie play in my head as I think it should. The writing is an imperfect attempt to project the same movie in someone else’s head. It is a living outline on a blank page that refuses to behave as I expect it too.
