Just heard this story on the news (yup, CNN junkie here during the long over night hours) - I have a plot, but this one seems ripe to pluck from the headlines for a fantasy, or would-be fantasy (like The Fisher King)

http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/html/localnews/2010135633_webmissingtee...

"When Peterson was found in New York she was wearing tattered clothing and was without any identification.... Peterson did recall some words from the fantasy novel "Fool's Fate" by Robin Hobb. She also told authorities she'd been writing a fantasy story featuring a heroine named Rian."

"Wilson said that Peterson has a history of memory loss. He said the woman's father, who lives in Colville, in Eastern Washington, told investigators that she once vanished from the family home and when she was later found, lying on the ground near a stream, she couldn't remember how she got there."

Got a great idea you don't plan on using? Heard something awesome that belongs in a novel? Chuck it here, and maybe someone else will pick it up for a fling!
