So, what are you doing to prepare for NaNoWriMo?
I've just been scrawling down some rough character notes and plot outlines in a notebook.
And wondering how much of Melbourne Cup Day I can spend writing.
And thinking of buying a big bag of jelly beans for those "argh, my brain's not working" moments :)

Well same.. This time I have character notes and a basic outline.. More so than I have had on any other years.. Perhaps pre planning will finally get me over the line..
Soon I'll be stocking up on fanta for those late nighters I pull when I need to write the most but feel too tired.. Fanta always sends me into a hyperactive awake stage, and is only used as an emergency wake up drink as such..
Still trying to figure out how to balance the trips to my best mates place I know I will have and not sacrifice any writing time.. Perhaps will just have to take laptop with me wherever I go..
Also need to tie in job searching and possible work disrupting how much I can write..
Oh this year is going to be full of wonderful surprises I can just tell...

I have some characters and an idea.
I have so much homework I've had no time to get down chapter outlines-which is what I usually do! This year I'm totally winging it, and hoping that gets me to 50,000.

I'm winging it. Like normal. I have an idea. I have one character. I have nothing on paper ... yet.
It's kind of like jumping off a cliff. With a parachute that was packed by a hyperactive monkey with dyslexia. It might work, or it might not ...
Wheeeeeeeeee!

This year I found 101 character questions. >.<; I have never before gone to such lengths of detail on the four main characters.
----------Other preparations included: getting a keyboard for my laptop that I didn't loathe and tonight I'm laboriously going through playlists. ^_^; the write music is essential (was it too early for the pun?)

101 character questions? I'm curious. I think I've got a character I might want to use for this years nano. Interrogating this character with something along those lines may actually be a good idea. Where did you find this?
*groan* I initially missed that pun. Well done :P

I had a dream the other week, it was a story from beginning to end, so I wrote it down in a kind of outline form. That was a couple of weeks ago, so I'm going to have a burl at finishing a story for once.
I have a folder full of starters, and a "fishing pond" book of ideas for other stories, but this one is fresh in my head.
Other than that, it's juggling my baby and parish life.
This site was recommended to me a while back, if you are stuck for character names or place names for your story, try this out, at the very least, you can have some fun (procrastination??). It's a random word generator. There are stacks of "seed lists" already on there that you can use as your starter, or make a new list yourself.
