If you're looking for genre identification help, there's a sticky in the Other Genres forum to help you find your niche.
The plot doctoring forum is a great place to ask general plotting questions, plug plot holes, and find names for your character's great aunt... but before you post take a moment to consider what you're asking. Your post may be better suited to one of our numerous genre lounges. If you post here, and it fits better in one of those forums, it may be moved without notice, so think first: Is it genre specific? Ghosts and spooks should probably be in Horror and Supernatural. Dragons and elves belong in Fantasy.
This is a *very* high traffic forum, and you really might get better, more specific attention in your genre forums, rather than getting pushed aside by the wave of other questions here. If it doesn't fit in one of those genre forums (or if it's more general than genre-specific), then feel free to post here.
You may have posted here in the last few days, and noticed that your post has vanished. It's okay! It's not gone, but we may have moved it to a more appropriate forum. This forum is so big, so fast, so BUSY, that posts get lost, so it's in your best interests that if a post is specific enough to fit in a specific genre forum, we've moved it there so you have a better chance of getting the feedback you're looking for. If you look in the genre forums, and find your post in a forum it doesn't fit, let me know which would be a better genre for your post and I'll move it there.
Some places to look:
Fantasy (Fairies, dragons, and magic)
Adventure (Pirates! Adventure!)
Other genres (fanfiction posts have been moved there)
Horror & supernatural (ghosts/supernatural stuff)
Mystery, Thriller and suspense (whodunits, murder mysteries)
Please note: plot questions and genre questions posted in this thread will be deleted without reply, so please start new topics (or look for an existing one to add on to.)

How inappropriate that this planet be called Earth, when it should clearly be called Ocean.

Most likely you were caught by the server outage. It should be around here somewhere. :)

I'm sorry, I can't find the answer to this, and not sure if this is where to ask? but is there any feature where you can find your posts? I've gone through pages and pages. If I could just find my post it would prevent me from posting again. :)

If you subscribe to your posts, you can find a list of them in your Manage Notification page. however, at this time, we don't have a public "view all posts" feature.
