Just come home from "The Vampire's Assistant" movie - great story; reasonable movie. Darren Shan rocks!
What have you been watching to inspire your writing for the month of November??!!

Not a lot of movies inspiring my novel for this year, although I have been to a fair few recently, Jump and The Fantastic Mr Fox included. Both brilliant movies.
Last year, my movie for inspiration was Stranger Than Fiction. Very good movie ^_^

I read the Darren Shan books a few years ago, but not quite sure if I'll watch the movie even though it seems to be getting decent reviews. The tag line put me off. In my mind Darren was about 13, so stating definitely that he's 16 threw me off, I haven't even seen the trailer let alone to movie and I'm already like that's not how it happened in the book, so I doubt I would enjoy the movie at all.
I saw Triangle recently. I'm not sure if it's really terrible or amazing writing or precisely what exactly happened, and it hasn't inspired me for NaNo as such, but at some stage I would like to write something like that. I don't want to spoil the movie for anyone, but it kinda reminds of the tv show 'Lost' a bit, not the story as such, but the way story unfolds and everything is so connected but doesn't quite make sense at the same time. I thought it was pretty cool (everything seemed so connected, if a bit paradoxical at times), but I know a few people who thought it as terrible and some who were kinda just were like meh whatever.
Has anyone here seen it? What did you think? (Could this be a writer thing? Unwrapping the layers, giving a deeper meaning to everything?) Or just me?
