There are so many high schoolers, and I've nothing against you (ya'll are awesome) but I was wondering what other 20-something writers are in Bucks County? Where is your favorite place to write? Give a little shout out if you're out there!

Well.... I'm past my 20-something years...

I'm in my 30s, and attempting to NaNoWriMo for the first time this year. I have similar concerns with you, as my 2... about to be 3... year old son is going to eat into some of my writing time....

I usually like to capture my ideas while driving, and either immediately transpose them when I get to work, and then other times just freel flow on my laptop, usually on my comfy ikea chair.

Cheers and good luck,

Robert

Unfortunately my birthday falls in December, so I won't officially be in my 20's until then. But being close to that age, I can tell you that my favorite place to write would have to be Starbucks. Something about the smell of coffee, the jazz music, and the 39 cent refills if you're there for more than an hour really speaks to me.

Hoorah for 20 somethings, lol.
I love to write at the public library, or anywhere quiet, really.
I also love to spend time in places that it seems like my characters would go.
Gives me a lot of ideas.

That's a good idea. Here's a question: where would a woman born in 1846 go?

My favorite place to write is Wegman's - haven't been able to get online there lately, but there's usually lots of space upstairs to spread out. I always try to get the chair in the corner, so I have two little tables and an outlet. Sometimes the Panera Bread in Valley Square is good, but it can get so crowded and cramped that it's hard to write there sometimes.

That's so cool that you go where your characters would go! Where do you characters typically spend time?

There's this beautiful megalith park about an hour from where I love.
Seems like the perfect fantasy setting, lol.

I write at home. I shut myself away in my room and listen to music and just type away. I find I go through phases where I can't write on my laptop, finding the screen too small for some silly reason, so I can't leave my desktop. Other times I'll go write in a Starbucks or just outside on my porch, or wherever it strikes me.

I write Fantasy so it's very hard to find an 'appropriate' place sometimes... especially this year when it's a fantasy world similar to late victorian england.

Hi there. I'm 27, just started writing about an hour ago. I perfer to write on my laptop alone in my room, but right now, I'm doing it at my desk at work, while I should be doing other things.

Hi guys,

I poked my head in just to check on the conversation. I'm well over my 20somethings, so no help for you all there.

I like to write in public as well, panera usually, because starbucks is uncomfortable, imo, and too loud usually. Borders is nice to write in too, but the seating is limited.

The diner is nice, because the restaurant noise fades into the background, and the refills are free. :D

Wow I didn't know there were so many people in bucks on Nano, I am twenty one and have to say I write mainly at home with t.v. on in the backround. My boyfriend is already feeling pretty neglected because of nanowrimo lol. I try to write at work but as I am a preschool teacher there isn't enough time during breaks and nap time for me to get everything I need fone as well as write.

You're writing a fantasy about Victorian England? I'm writing an historical novel about that era and my characters are currently packing all of their belongings to move to the USA. They'll be shipwrecked of course, but it I find that places with stone work (masonry?) are good inspiration... Maybe the grotto in front of the Regal theatre on Easton Road? Or the Mercer Museum?
