Come the start of the month, we'll all need to be putting in a lot of writing hours. One of the best ways to combat burnout is to make sure we don't log those hours alone.
This thread is for everyone to post where they'll be writing, on which day, and for what time. For example:
Hey all, I'll be writing at Javapalooza Middletown on Nov. 2, from about 10 AM on...
(I have no idea if that's true, but it's porbably still quite likely)
No need to go throwing things out here until the 1st, but I thought I might as well just it ready to go!

I was hoping to make it down to Javapalooza Saturday morning. My girlfriend was going to do some yoga. Figured I'd get some writing done during her class. Writing with others has been super productive for me. Not exactly sure why. Something about the energy involved.

A few people will be writing this morning at Borders in Farmington -- the one right by the West Farms Mall.

I'm going to go catch up on my writing today with my friend at either Barnes and Noble or Paneras in Buckland Mall, if anyone is in the area! We'll be there, hopefully, from around 12 to 3 or 4 PM.

YIKES! Talk about east of the river writing spot.
I think someone said there are a couple of starbucks in Manchester CT? Do we know which one?

The one beside the Boston Market - As far as google tells me:
Starbucks Coffee
1428 Pleasant Valley Rd # A
Manchester, CT 06042
(860) 644-3736
This starbucks has a high comfy chair ratio and a lot of outlets on the long wall. Though I'm sure Manchester in the UK would be a nice change of scenery!

Heh......probably only a good idea to head over to that starbucks when your laptop's powered up or there would be an issue using the outlets.

I need to get out of the house to boost my word count instead of getting distracted by something like vacuuming or laundry. So I'm heading to Panera on Deming Street in Manchester, near (but not in) the Buckland Hills Mall. I should be there by 9:30-ish; gotta run by the post office first.
Look for me -- I'm wearing an orange tee shirt and I have a pink Samsonite briefcase.

What: Writing and Coffee and Espresso Cookies to Get the Book Done!
When: November 16, 2009 9:30 AM
Where:
La Paloma SAbenera
405 Capitol Avenue
Hartford, CT 06106
We had great fun last Monday, and it was my most productive day writing! So won't you join us this Monday morning for breakfast sandwiches, coffee or tea, and yummy homemade espresso cookies? If you have writer's block, the espresso cookies will clear it right up!*
As Kate said last week, "So this is another extra meeting for nanowrimo--or just for people who want to write. Hope to see you there."
*That statement has not been approved by the FDA, who agrees that they taste yummy and are addictive.

It appears that I MUST leave the house (and its distractions) to get any writing done this morning.
Is anyone "writing out" this morning?
Suggested spots:
- Panera on Deming in Manchester
- Between Rounds in Vernon Center
- Barnes at Noble at the Buckland Hills Mall
- Panera Bread at Evergreen Walk in South Windsor
Or anywhere less than 45 minutes or so from where I live at the the Ellington/Tolland/Stafford intersection.
Let me know, while I clean up, get dressed, and get ready to head out the door with my computer.

I know this is a meeting place for tomorrow, but I thought I would try to get out and get some writing done here, and should be here for at least a couple of hours if anyone is interested in joining me.
EDIT: I'm only going to be here for about another 15 min, and have decided to possible go up to the northwest meeting in torrington, since that isn't that far of a drive for me.

A few of us are heading to the ADORABLE coffee shop: La Paloma Sabanera, at 405 Capitol Avenue, Hartford, CT. They have the most amazing expresso cookies...
At least some of us will be there from 9:30 AM to early afternoon. The staff is very friendly toward the event.

I'm trying the It's a Grind in West Hartford as a workspot this Friday at 10 am.
Uh oh!! Oops! I was just told to dump links to the meet-up group so I'll paste the basic info below. Since RSVPs don't matter anyway (and that's the only purpose of the link), feel free to stop by!
From the info page:
I'm messing around, trying to find new places--it's nice to know which places are pleasant work-spots.
This Friday I'm checking the It's a Grind coffee shop in Blue Back Square. Care to join me?
It's a Grind Coffee House
51 Memorial Rd.
West Hartford , CT 06107
(860) 761-3290
I called It's a Grind and they said the morning coffee rush winds down at around 9:15-9:30 so I made the meeting time a little later than usual.
At that time of the day it should be fairly easy to park in that area. If you want 2 free hours, you can go to the Isham garage and then visit the library -- they have a stamp there.
See you there!
Please, please, let me know if you are aware of any other locations that might work. Quiet is good. I think free wifi is Pure Evil, but other members like it. Wall or floor electrical outlets are almost necessary and pleasant lighting (but not too much) is a plus.

Well, fellow Nutmeggers, I find that the only place I seem able to write much of anything these days is at work. *chuckles*
Yes I spend hours upon hours writing fics and novel ideas and even manuscripts while at work third shift. When the world sleeps and the wolfbane blooms... *coughs* Sorry... lost myself.
Because of my hours of work, it's difficult for me to meet up with all you wonderful writers. But I'm watching the dates and hoping that one of my nights off will coincide with a "meet up" before this is over. If it doesn't, there's always next year.
Having a blast though and will definitely participate again next year. Thanks for the great fun and wonderful posts that make me feel a part of the whole Northeast group of best selling authors.
Good luck to all!!

Our little meeting at Peaberry's was productive! I just added 2,000 words. My goal is to hit 40,000 by Monday night, and I got behind on Wednesday and Thursday, so this was a much-needed focused time.
Nice to meet you all, ladies!

Anyone want to meet on Wednesday around 10:30 a.m. for some pre-Thanksgiving writing? Either Starbucks in the Simsburytown Shops or Peaberry's or the B&N in Canton (near the Flatbread) are good for me.
