Many thanks to Dreamers Cove for Thursday's Kick Off event at the Prescott Library. Information and inspiration were the focus of her Power Point presentation - well done!
Good to see familiar faces as well as several first years. I think it's going to be a record word count for our region this year.
Can't wait to get started on Sunday - WOOHOO!

A total of 18 people showed up, and we went waaaay over our alloted time. In essence, a lot of fun!
Thank you to everyone who showed up. It was so great to see so many familiar faces as well as new faces. A lot of smiling and laughing faces, I might add. There was a lot of creative energy and the story ideas, even from those that didn't really have a story yet, were great!
Much thanks to the Library for the goodies and drinks, as well as the room.
By the way, we'll be in the exact same room for the upcoming Sunday write-in. I'll be bringing and extension cord with multiple plugins to help with the power situation. Also, there are plugs all over the room.
(Note to self: Ask for two hours next year)

Wow, what a great kick-off! We had a grand total of 18 people who arrived, some of them completely new to our unique form of writing sanity. We also saw a lot of familiar faces from past years.
Much laughter and hilarity ensued through-out the evening. We had a presentation going over what National Novel Writing Month is, as well as a lot of tips on how to make it a successful month. We also played writer’s bingo, caged our inner editors, introduced ourselves and handed out a lot of goodies.
The Prescott Public Library was fabulous. They helped us advertise our event and it helped new people find us. The room they provided for us worked great and they even provided coffee, hot water for tea and a variety of cookies. Thank you Prescott Public Library! I'm excited about the continuing partnership with the library. I think it's a great relationship for both the Prescott Nano Region and the Library.
Thank you to everyone who came. It was a fantastic night!
