I just wanted to check to see if anyone was interested in doing some online write-ins again this year on AIM or another program?

That way people from all over the state can meetup in real time together.

If so just let me know here and when would be some of the best time during the week that would work for you :)

This certainly seems like an interesting idea. My schedule is a bit undetermined at the moment, but generally speaking, I'm good basically any evening with a few rare exceptions.

It may not be a bad idea to perhaps exchange IM info with each other so that even during non scheduled write-in times, we can pester each other for support/ideas/random insights.

If you're worried about being assaulted by strangers, perhaps create a new IM handle just for the use of NaNo? Heck, it may be beneficial to do that anyway, and to purposedly log out of your normal IMs so that you're less distracted by real life and working more towards your 50k.

I know I wouldn't mind a late night i-poke from someone after I've been staring blankly at my story for hours upon end.

My handle on there (aim) is still vacatdog... so anyone who wants to can find me on there :)

Oh... if I don't respond I am not ignoring you, my aim stays active a lot longer then it should when my computer goes into power save mode when I honestly fall asleep with my computer open (not that it happens often or anything) or leave the room with it open

Since AIM seems to be the messenger of choice, mine is KiranaTiNebell. I honestly don't mind giving my standard, because my other AIM never gets activated anymore. Hehe.

Right now, I can be on any time between 4pm to 2am... can't guarantee how much I'll be in front of the computer at any given time, but I will show up at some point. And my AIM name is the same as my NaNo name - a0x808080.

I'll throw my e-hat in the e-ring. My AIM is alex32283, and I'm typically on after normal working hours. If anyone's getting a virtual posse together, count me in!

For the first online write-in I was thinking of maybe Thursday or Friday evening like at 6:30pm Central Time... I think everyone in Mississippi is on central time but just in case.

Let me know if that will work for you or not :D

I'm generally good with either day, although Friday might be better for me, as I have to go to Tupelo tomorrow evening to do something at work for a bit.

I would like to join in on the online madness. ^^ terioncalling on AIM...as I am just about everywhere, hehe.

Alas, unless y'all are still going at 9 Friday night I will not be around for the first one. Work will get in the way.

Either day at that time should work for me, though Thursday will likely involve me running off quite a bit as I'll be at work (shh!).

Okay I was thinking for the second online write in that we could have it during this week maybe Tue at 7pm?

If this does not work for people just drop me a line and we will pick another time. :D

I'll set my phone alarm so I don't miss that one. XD I was having vehicular issues during the last online write-in. Thus far I've only spoken with... two people individually, and one of them is cheating, as he's come to some of my meets in person. Hehe.

For the last hour and fifteen minutes I have been trying to get aim to work... first it would not let me in which eventually I just uninstalled and reinstalled everything... then had a coughing fit so no work for ten minutes... then it is telling me that half either have me blocked or "user does not support this application".

Okay so if you would log into aim find your name usually under My 5 and invited yourself to mswrimos

Everyone just give me the best days that would work for you and I will try and make my aim work but supposedly it is going to work now with the new patch
