I have to make an admission - I can't write a synopsis When I do what comes out seems so trite, insincere, and dishonest. It never really seems to accurately capture the substance of the novel. It always seems to just say what happens and I personally find that to be least interesting part of the story.
I don't really like book jackets. If the cover catches my eye I'm more likely flip to the middle to evaluate a random paragraph or two than to read the synopsis on the inside jacket. (Covers are even more dishonest than the jacket synopsis, but what can I say?) It is hard to find books this way and it has been years since I bought a piece of fiction. Come to think of it I don't really like fiction. I'm making excuses, I know.
But that is not the point of this. If someone would be so kind as to help me with my synopsis it would be greatly appreciated. If you have the time or inclination to offer some suggestions that would be much appreciated. I roughed it in last night and have picked at it through this day and have come to the conclusion that I would rather be writing the the novel the dust jacket. November 1 can't come soon enough -- but thems the rules.
Thanks in advance!!

I'm willing to give it a whirl. My wife doesn't like to write hers, either, so I've done a few.

Unfortunately, before we can write a synopsis for you, you have to tell us what your novel's about... by summarizing it... Catch my drift? Oh well, at least post some long, rambling outline of the story and we'll try to help you out!
----------Eight lords sleeping till it’s foretold
By an old hand they will be stirred
One a tree that’s grown too old
One a sound that’s never been heard
One a shade that hasn’t a caster
One a light been swallowed by a bird
One hangs like a ghost in the sky
