3 Days!
Geez, time seems to be going so fast- since we're pulling into the final days of planning, I'm just curious to see if anyone has come up with their working title or even their permanant title yet?
Share and tell us why you chose it!
I've only been able to come up with my working title, Mathis.
It's the name of my main character, and for lack of anything creative, it'll do!

I'm not sure if my working title, "Safehaven," will become the permanent title, but until something better comes along, it's the prime candidate.
It's an artificially-created continent, made by scientists and the Military. It started as an island for scientists to conduct Capsule research away from the wars, but when one other continent was scorched and lost, it became the place for all civilians to call home. It now covers much of the Northern Hemisphere, and the majority of the planet's populace lives there.
Is it November yet?!!

I have a semi-permanent title for my novel. It's "Technoxity".
I tried to be cute and combine the words technology and toxic. I'm not sure how well that worked out though (any comments anyone?)
The title comes from the fact that this race of technomages is attempting to take over their universe, but they polluted their planet while doing so. Then, Haverick (the MC) comes in and tears a hole in the fabric of reality and the technomages suddenly have a new planet to play with (yes, it's Earth); with the promise of more to possibly come.
I also, foolishly, have a large plot of back-stabbing, take-overs, old family disgrace, and a ton of rebellion.
I like the title "Mathis", I think it sounds interesting, and look at Harry Potter. They named the book series after him and it became a best-seller. (Same with Pendragon, Eragon, and lots of other books)
"Safehaven" sounds really cool btw, I would love to read it.

I chose the title "The Summoned".
Ever google the title of stories or character names? This one comes up as a death metal band.
I chose this title because my piece revolves around the summoner class, more so, those who have been summoned by a particular summoner. Right now, it's split into 3 parts. The initial pass of the first part is completed. The second part is partially completed, and the third part is what I'm doing for NaNoWrMo. Each part in itself is long enough to be its own book lol.
Mathis has a book cover! So do I! I'm glad to see someone else who makes them (or has them done). They're so much fun to do and look at. Everybody also seems to have a nice synopsis. I look forward to hearing your ideas.

My working title is "ABC". It is an acronym for the real title I have in mind, but that's all I want to say write now about it.

My working title for my NaNo is "Your Song." My story takes place at a music boarding school in Tennessee. There is some romance and stuff, so I figured that I would slap a crappy title on it now and fix it later

My working title is "New Fantasy Idea." That is what my files about it are named because I have no idea of anything beter to call it. It is a kind of epic fantasy without all of the wise wizard, farmer turned fighter, and random damsel in distress on a quest cliches that seem so prevelant in mideval fantasy. It has a bunch of MCs, each with his or her own plotline going on, which will make reaching word count easier (I hesitate to say easy, even though this is my first time and I am overly optimistic, but easier than it would otherwise be if I had just one character with one major plotline,) but when the time comes to work it all together into a cohesive whole, it might be a little hard to do. But that is a worry for December.

I suck with titles! WIP filename is Magic... it's a youth (middle grade, I guess) fantasy - kinda Narnia meets Bridge to Terabithia.... some of my favorites when I was a kid.
But YAY! NANO IS HERE!

Absolutely not! XD
As long as that's not what it ends up published as...
I'm sure most of the titles here will change as we get further into this month, too. (I'm hoping mine will!)

Finally came up with a tentative one for mine, "Saving Crystilia." In the obvious view, Crystilia is a kingdom under fire that will be saved. The main conflict is the one fought within the character responsible for the saving, though. It'll work for now, I guess :)

Right now I don't even have a working title, except for the filename which is "a_steampunk_western.doc" which basically describes the feel I'm going for.
Mainly cause I'm bad at thinking up titles, and I figure once I have an actual PLOT I can base a title off that. Hopefully that's before I hit 50k words!

Mine's The Newcomer...working title.
"The Newcomer Prophecy" is pretty much what the entire story will revolve around...and everyone thinks either Emily or Will is the "Newcomer",so...
(Cyre's world is dying/ under otherworldly siege because the barriers that keep dimensions apart are decaying...and someone, the "Newcomer", would save everything.)
And yeah.

This is my first time officially doing the NaNoWriMo thing, and it is a hare-brained scheme on my part, as I'm also trying to finish a short story and have other writing-related responsibilities that have nothing to do with my so-called novel. Anyway, the working title is The Kid from Tosa, because, well, it is about a kid from Tosa (the old name for Kochi Prefecture in Japan, since the novel is set in the late Tokugawa period of about 1835-1868). This was a total last-minute thing, like November 3 I think. Let's just see where it goes, eh? Good to be here. Cheers!

I really like "Olivia Remember", BeverageMaiden.
Mine is The Tapestry of Names. But it seems a bit longwinded for what I'm writing, so I'll probably shorten it to a one or two word name. However, my problem is that my story revolves around a physical being that is Destiny. And there are way too many novel titles out there that have to do with Destiny, so I'm at a loss. . .
