Since YA encompasses all other genres, what's your co-genre? I'm writing a like, psychological fantasy YA novel. It shall be exciting.

Mine's about teen superheroes. Or rather, teens who also happen to have super powers.

Mine would probably be romance or drama... Or both... Because it's a dramatic, heartbreaking romance. Haha.

Mine is probably romance and drama as well. Not sure though. For some reason it's real difficult to make my story fit into any other genre but YA :D

Spies, speaking/megalomanic animals, daring tales -- I guess my secondary is Pulp/Adventure.

Mine starts off contemporary/supernatural and does a switch to steampunk fantasy about a quarter in.

Probably queer. It kind of annoys me because I prefer to have GLBT characters in non-obviously queer books, but with a coming out story there wasn't much chance of it being anything else. Unless I threw in vampires or fairies or something, but that would *really* screw with my plot.

I'm writing a middle grade, not YA, that is also contemporary fiction, I guess. I'm not really sure what the different genres are.

My secondary genre is definitely paranormal. Or possibly supernatural. I'm confused as to the differences... (and, actually, since the vampires and ghosts and etc are caused by a virus, it's technically sci-fi... I'M SO CONFUSED.)

High fantasy, with a hint of romance and quite a bit of coming-of-age (is it possible to write YA lit without at least a little of both?). It's the first time I've set out with the purpose of writing a YA novel (which is odd, since I've been writing fiction since before high school)

Ahhh, mainstream fiction. It would probably be labeled a bit chick-lit-ish, but not entirely.

14 mentions of butterflies.
