Yerba Mate all day long! Once you get used to the different kind of caffeine, you'll find it doesn't pick you up and drop you off the ledge like coffee/chocolate does. It tastes like.... hmm.... grass, but you can add an herbal teasan over it to give it some flavour.

I like espresso or Americanos occasionally, but Yerba Mate is what I'd prefer first thing in the morning through evening - unless I'd like to end up fried and frazzled with jitters.

Before anyone goes off sprinting to drop $5 into Corporate Coffee's pockets....! For the cost of a grinder, a French Press, and a bag of fresh, whole bean coffee, you'll also save yourself a ton of money. You'll also enjoy the taste of a good cup of coffee, which hasn't been burned or allowed to sit for more than half an hour!

Just my humble opinion!

I'm a Hazelnut coffee with creamer guy. That's about it.

I'm too cheap to go out and buy coffee, so I'll stick with the giant bag of Dunkin Donuts coffee I bought at Sam's Club. :)

WORD: Dunkin Donuts coffee.

Don't get me wrong, I'll go to Starbucks, I'll go to Boulder Coffee, and I'll even pick up a package of the Eight O'Clock for home. It's all good stuff. But generally speaking, 99.9% of the time I can get down with Dunkin Donuts and it's fine.

Plus, I love their Pumpkin Spice donuts. Were it not for the fact that I am feeling lazy right now, I would invest in a couple.

I have friends who swear by Dunkin Donuts coffee, but I've never tried it before. The pumpkin spice donut sounds tasty - is it a flavoured cake donut, or does it have a glaze? I generally just go to Tim Horton's, because DD doesn't have maple glazed anything, which makes me very sad....

When I was on co-op about two years ago, sometimes my friend/coworker would bring along coffee for us, and I don't remember which specific Dunkin Donuts he went to, but that one put some really good stuff in their coffee--it was really really sweet, and had me wired all day long (compared to my normal demeanor, I was pretty much bouncing off the walls). It was pretty awesome, especially since I'm not a big fan of sweet coffee (prefer it black) unless it's the fancy flavoured Starbucks kind.

Though I have yet to try pumpkin spice anything. My friends keep telling me it's good though...

Vodka. Kidding, of course (mostly). No coffee but chai is generally great for me.

Has anyone else noticed the ridiculous word counts some people have racked up? How fast do these writers type? I'm calling in sick; I feel inadequate!

Sorry. It's late and I'm punchy. And I just saw Monsters of Folk in concert. A-ma-zing.

@Call_on_the_Dawn:

It's a flavored cake donut. It's actually pretty good, though not much different from the one that Tim Horton's offers.

@MJ - Vodka is a good suggestion, though. Isn't that how Tolstoy finished War & Peace, and how Hemmingway got ANYTHING done? ;)

I think I'm gonna brew up some Hazelnut coffee for the morning, and bring some along this afternoon.

I'm a fan of scotch personally..... but a bottle of wine is romantic, ideal wise, to say the least... I'll probably start the day off with some coffee when I go to Jitters tonight, then get a glass of wine later.. I really can't afford much but a medium straightup coffee can't be that expensive... and wine's only like 4.50 at Jitters.. and depending on how hungry I am, I'll go for a piece of pizza or something cuz it'll be dinnertime :P

Oh just talking about it is making me hungry... but for the time being, I'm at work, drinking some Irish Cream coffee and contemplating what to get done today... as opposed to not getting done in favor of posting here... :P
