For all the jibes about other regions you want to make! Just keep it friendly, folks!

ok, just to get the ball rolling. I saw that York and Leeds are in on this word war thing. As a lass from Lancashire I will be working extra hard to ensure that we beat the people from Yorkshire (It's a Lancashire thing, we don't like the Yorkshire people )

Am I allowed to insult the Mackems or do they come under our region, please say they don't or we might have an internal word war.

I think insulting them is allowed (even if they are in our region) but be prepared for backlash from any loyal Mackems!

Right, I don't think they've even signed up yet, but I'm CALLING OUT WALES.

Have you lot all broken your "y", "w" and "d" keys or what? Show me why I should never have come back to England!

Though I'm far from a Sunderland fan
(you see, football just isn't my thing),
I would just like to say, for the next thirty days,
We're banded together for writing.

As an ML, I just can't pick sides,
And anyway, I'm out in Durham.
But I think the idea, if I'm reading it clear
is we're warring, more likely, with Fulham.

(And anywhere else that's afield
Except Darlington, which is right up next door.
There's a rivalry there, and we're bringing to bear
The fact that we'll win this word war!)

And by the way, though I mean no offence,
Can't help a brief urge to state it:
I can't help but think -- saw in newspaper ink --
It wasn't the Black Cats who got relegated!

(Sorry, I really couldn't resist! Really do mean no offence.)

Awh, God =D We have an ongoing rivalry with Darlington. Jo, the co-ML for there, and I have a bit of an in-joke about poaching from each other, since I live in Durham and ML for Newcastle. It's all good!

At least the Mackems will be playing Man U and Chelsea and the likes this year, as opposed to, I dunno, being away to Scunthorpe dressed as a custard slice...

I might live in Newcastle but my roots are in Sunderland. :D

though that doresnt meant ot say that I am not going to try and beat lancashire as well. Got to stay loyal to my home region and all. But so long as both Lancs and Newcastle beat Yorkshire, then i will be happy.
Now, I have another 1000 words to write before 3.10pm so I am off to get them done so I can go shopping. Aiming to reach 25k+ today :D

And now back to attempting to add another 10k to my word count :D
