http://www.tscpl.org/programs/comments/chat_room/
I set up this chat room so that we can use it for our scheduled word wars and virtual write ins -- I couldn't embed the code on the nano forums, so I put in on a page on the library's website instead, the link is above.
This is a meebo chat room, you don't need a specific login to use it, just click to chat, then it asks for your age and gender, and before it posts your first comment is asks you to choose a nickname. Obviously it would be easiest if you choose your nano username or real first name or something else your fellow writers might recognize, but everyone's comfort level on Internet sharing is different, so please do what you need to do!
Since the nanowrimo.org website is likely to be overloaded the first few days of November, this also gives us a handy place to check in with each other if we can't get into the forums as often as we would like.

Perhaps my entire novel can be written during hours and minutes that my toddler is sleeping. Perhaps not.
