Hey guys, I am a major horse fan so I'm on the lookout for any other horse crazy people!
But I'd also love to chat to anybody that has a few interesting facts about them too!

And if anybody knows a major Connemara breeding place, I'll be eternally in their debt!

Big grin! :D

Like horses, but the only time I had easy access was when I was in my teens. At that time we had a three quarter bred Connemara. We got him on Christmas Eve and he became a 2-year-old 8 days later. He had been broken but not schooled. I had never ridden anything except donkeys. We got together and I schooled him and he taught me to ride.

Lots of stories about him. Probably too many for a forum. Will you be at any of the meet-ups?

To find out where they are bred you could google "Connemara pony" + breeder and click for pages from Ireland.

Thanks Mamo!
Yeah, I'll be at any meet-ups in Dublin after today. I missed the one today as I was hanging out at my stables. :/
Anyway, see you there?

I love horses. Had a marvellous experience when in Lexington Horse Park last year. My face is disfigured because of cancer but he horses kust wanted to nuzzle me. One looked and his look said "take off the glasses". When he saw the damage he gave me an even bigger nuzzle. Another horse really went to town nuzzling me. His guardian said he doesn't do that much at all. We even had a telepathic communication. Will fill you in if you make a meeting I'm at.

Lovely horse experience par5score2. Very touching. I think I'll include that in my book...

I have heard of a dog doing something like this before, and porpoises seem to pay special attention to people who are unwell, but this is particularly interesting.

We had a dog and a cat who were good pals. Every now and again the cat would get into a scrap of some kind and develop an abscess, and the dog used to lick at it very persistently until it healed.
