Who all is going to be starting at midnight this weekend. I think I'll be armed with my laptop, some hot chocolate, and a piece of paper with my entire novel outline. Like last year, I'm sure my novel will take a life of it's own and stray far away from my outline (that's my favorite part of writing).

I am totally beginning at midnight! I cannot wait. I've been excited about this year's novel since last December when I first heard about NaNoWriMo. Let the coffee flow.

If the first were a Saturday instead of a Sunday, I would love to start at midnight. Sadly, however, I'm really old, and I don't have the option of sleeping in on Sunday morning. But I plan on pounding out my first 3000 words Sunday afternoon! Bring it, NaNo!

Hagalaz,

I'll be right there with you, hot chocolate and all. In fact, I brought along some Williams & Sonoma hot chocolate when we moved from Dallas, so I'll be working on my first 1,667 in sensuous decadence! I'm so excited, I can barely sleep.

Alas, I have a previous midnight engagement, but I will probably write as soon as I am done with that. Halloween stuff and all.

It's so hard not to start like... right now.

I plan to begin at midnight (if I can stay awake that late). I am psyched and ready to write. I am intentionally leaving town this afternoon, holing up in a cabin at White River, and getting in as many words as possible in the first 24 hours. Good luck to all.

As tempting as it would be, I don't think I'll be starting at midnight tonight. I'm going with a group of guys for a Halloween nighttime bike ride out at the mountain bike trails tonight. They do it every year, but this will be my first. I expect I'll be pretty cooked by the end and it will be all I can do to fall into bed at the end.

Oh yes, I am most definitely starting at midnight. I plan to start this off with a bang, and am aiming for getting at the very least 10,000 words done by Monday.

I already have all my character notes and plot outlines, so this should go pretty well. This is my first year doing NaNo, and I am hoping I can actually finish. I honestly just want to hit the required 50k, but I will try my best to get more than that.

My hat's off to everyone who will be starting at midnight. I'll be asleep. But I'll fire up the word processor after lunch tomorrow.

I still need to wrap up my outline. There are some major gaps in it right now. That will be today's project.

I'm starting at midnight. I'm using the extra hour tonight/tomorrow morning to get an extra hour of writing in. I've spent most of today working on scenes and plot. It'll definitely be somewhat of a struggle staying awake, as I have a word goal of 3k before I go to bed. My problem has always been staying ahead, and I don't want to have to write 25k words over Thanksgiving.

It is 4:30 AM and if one pretended their was no time change, it'd be 5:30 AM and I have written 949 words after getting back from a party at about 3 AM.

I am going to bed, XD

Just decided to join up. Tried it back in 2002, then getting a degree got in the way. I'm out of excuses. I don't get some words on paper that aren't related to work, I'm going to lose it. So, it's a little past midnight, but still at least the first. here we go!
