I got this guide from National this morning. I get the time zone part, and i THINK I set it but what is the rest?

word-count features appear and disappear at midnight on November 1 and November 30,
so dialing those in now will save you stress later.

Yeah, that wasn't very clear. All it means, though, is that there are some things (updating your word count) that can't be done before midnight on Nov. 1 or after Midnight on Nov. 30. If you haven't set your time zone correctly, your access will be based on the time zone NaNo thinks your in. SInce you set your time zone, you should be golden. :)
