Only 2 more days until the festivities start and I've got nothing planned, or any back up and I'm kind of freaking out a little. Is anyone else in the same boat as me? got any ideas how I can pull a miracle out of thin air?

i'm with you -- only have a few vague ideas and I MEAN vague.. it's like a mist, a fog, walking in a dream.
I feel as if I'm stepping out to walk on water, simply trusting that i WILL be lead where I need to go.
This is my first time entering this challenge that I had never heard of before and haven't had time to plan - actually, not much of a planner anyway ;-)

Deep breath, ButterFlyInk.
Do you have a first line? Can you make up a name? Sometimes you don't need the whole story, just something to pull at. It's like those carny games where you pull a ring with a cord attached to it to see what you get.
My co-ML finally came up with a first line last night while we were sitting at an organ concerto listening to someone do Cesar Franck' s Chorale in A. :) That's all she's got - we're going to see where it goes from there. Maybe listen to a favorite piece of music - or better yet, something you'd NEVER listen to, like 15th century classical oboe, and see where it takes you...
I really only have a character and a vague notion of what's going to happen.
Try pulling a few random subjects from Wikipedia. Use one of the bazillion name generators on the Internet to come up with a someBODY and dream up awful things to do with them. Start with a premise - freak snowstorm, flash flood - weather is a GREAT plot hook to start with if you've got nothing else - death in the family, car breakdown in the middle of nowhere, computer crash... sure it's all cliche'd, but you can make it your own in the writing process.
If all else fails, come up with the sort of first sentence that makes you stop and say... um, how the heck do I explain this?
"Being dead isn't so bad, but somehow I thought it would smell worse..."
You get the idea.
Just hang in there and keep breathing. As a method of last resort, there's always 'once upon a time'...

I can breath easy now that I came up with something while having a horror movie marathon for halloween =]
----------watching movies and listening to music usually help inspire the muse. Thank you for the advice Betty, it was really helpful.
