I was looking through my 2008 NaNo "journal." I wrote a small memo to myself at the end of each day about how I felt about my story, about my moral, etc.
I realized that I had an overwhelming number of "Pre-writing: Hating my story; Post-writing: Loving it" or "Pre: REALLY not wanting to write today; Post: Got into a groove and wrote a TON!" entries. I also had an entry that said, "I wish I would just START writing and not agonize over it, b/c I'm going to love it once I start."
This really reminds me how much I HATE sitting down in front of my computer to start, but also how much I LOVE sitting there typing away that it's often hard for me to drag myself away at the end of the day.
I just thought some of you might be interested in this. Hope it helps someone when the time comes and you find the idea of writing to be horrible. If you just start, you might change your mind.
