JUST OVER 1000 WORDS!
I don't think I've written quite so fast (or quite so badly) in my life.

Regardless, I got my first 1000 in the first hour, and I'm extremely proud of myself.

Still 502 words - lots of plotting this morning, but no actual writing. Kettle's on now though, and the frenzy will recommence forthwith!

3358 words, so I've already gopt my count for today, but I'm hoping to add more after work (finhs at 10pm) after I finish my course assignment, and get a good chunk done tomorrow too. it's going well for me so far, yay1

After a number of disasterous starts (I'm now on start number five) I've finally managed to find a groove and nailed down just over 4000 words in the first three hours. Still got the rest of this evening and tomorrow off work to try and get a long way ahead of the game! At least now I know what I'm writing and I've got a vague idea of the flow of the story!

I'm up to just over 4000 words, but my story has taken a full-on turn for the chic-lit genre. I think I'm ok with this development, though. Also I've done none of my classwork for the last 2 days so obviously something has got to give.

Over 5000 words. Somehow I brought a sorcerer I hadn't planned into the story, along with about 10 names to remember. I think Alina might fall in love with Vincent after all, although I was really going to enjoy the age conflict between her and Ducky.
Ducky ... that's a new pet name. Oops.

Managed to bring yesterday's total of 2001 up to 7004 today, which does give me some leeway if I decide to go back to Gloucester at the weekend. The red herring from Chapter One has been caught and dismissed in Chapter Three, and Chapter Two has seen the novel's secondary protagonist get recruited as the Greek tutor for the murder victim's intended fiancée.

There are twists upon twists in this, and I'm already confused.

Hooray for erratic sleep patterns! Have been writing since a staggering 7 oclock this morning, hopefully will bash out a few before being a taxi, still behind on the word count (3537) but i think today will be a good day :D

Hmm...that frenzy was less frenzied than I'd hoped for. Meh. I suppose day three's a bit early to start worrying about the word count, what with being a beginner & all... At least I cracked the 1K barrier, and I've got a much better idea of my plot for the next few thousand...

10,000! woohoo!

Helped by a big start on day one and then two target-hitting days after it. Well done everyone!

Having a huge presentation to do on Monday sucked away most of the writing time for the first couple of days so I'm behind at 2284 and very aware of it, which is not helping the writing! Think I may have to restart as I'm not enamoured in any way with what's coming out at the moment. But am I brave enough to ditch my entire plot and start from scratch?

Think I will go and put the kettle on!

Cracked 14,000 words earlier on today, and 15,000 is just around the corner.... today is going a little slower, and it's not flowing as nicely as yesterday was. All things going well it'll pick up as I'm about to take another small break (RockBand calls!) and that'll hopefully pull me back up to writing at full-steam-ahead.....

wow, DJPooka you must have some serious coffeebeans spurring you on...
I forgot how exciting it gets when you press WordCount, I forgot the stupid little dances I do when I've hit a target...
Good hour and twenty minutes' writing before driving miss daisy? good work, all.

I'm looking at the empty cans of Relentless lying around and I'm a bit scared of it ;)

Honestly though, I'm trying to build up a big cushion on my last day off work so that when I go back tomorrow it won't be too bad - given what it's like in work at the moment I'm not going to be able to do much in the evenings after work, so I was aiming to hit 20k by the end of today. Not sure if it'll happen now as forward momentum seems to have slowed down a lot.

The 5K beast has been slain! I really didn't feel like writing tonight, but I managed to churn out 1900 words in about 45 minutes thanks to Write or Die. I swear that website is made of magic.

10k! I take it back, I am spectacular. That's nearly 4k today alone.

It's now 3am, and I have an 11am lecture a 45-minute walk away. Ow.

Ditto that, Christmas job starts on the 14th, so I'm aiming to truck on and give myself a nice head-start before then when I'll be bagsying all the overtime I can get my aching hands on so I can get me some dosh. Unemployment is a nice thing sometimes, it seems. Anyhoo, just passed the 8k mark and hoping to get up to 10 today, have done a couple of 3k-days so this should be possible... :S
happy typing, and see y'all tomorrow night!

Edit- just got over 10,000 words! i love arguments when people say something and then repeat it in italics
