It thrills me to announce the amazingly packed schedule of write-ins for the South Bay, which includes events every day of the week in 8 different cities throughout the region. Wow! Below is the complete list of write-ins, and you can also view it all in its calendrical glory on the South Bay calendar.
Most write-ins are in public places (generally cafes), and you can just show up at the appointed time with your laptop or notepad and look for the group with NaNo signs or t-shirts. Don't forget to buy some food or drink to support the cafes that kindly let us camp out and write for hours!

What does it mean, that there are no tables at Psycho Donuts at all???

I just got the scoop from Dylan (I haven't been in the store yet myself): There are counters with stools that will accommodate 4-6 people. If we have more attendees than that, some people will sit in chairs with their laptops on their laps. I imagine we'll be able to work it out so that those who need counter space can have it. People are also welcome to bring beanbag chairs or whatever from home.

Munichmaedchen can no longer host at Coffee Society on Monday nights, and turnout was pretty low there last night: me, Ian, and 3 others, at least when I left at 7:00. Is anyone interested in hosting a Monday night write-in somewhere else that might be a better location for more people?

So far we'd have no takers for Monday nights, so there's officially no write-in scheduled then. Speak up if you plan to be writing somewhere this Monday evening!

Okay, now I remember why last year we started the Sunday OVC write-ins at 4:00. This cafe is really crowded until that time! Thanks to everyone who is here today for being willing to squeeze in and occupy satellite tables. We'll keep 3:00 as the official start time, but if you don't like the idea of crowding, you may want to wait until 4:00 to show up. Lots more free space now.

The write-in will meet 9:30am to 12:30pm in the section to the right of the front door. There are plenty of tables & chairs, free wifi, and power outlets.
This write-in has been added to the schedule above, and to the calendar.

Huh, I just realized that's pretty near my house. Nice! I'll definitely try to make it to a few of these (probably not till next week though, unless I get super on top of things before this Saturday).

I've checked in with write-in hosts about any changes due to Thanksgiving. There will be no write-ins on Thanksgiving Day or at Nexus (Stanford) the day after Thanksgiving. So far the Wednesday and other Friday write-ins are still on. I'll announce here and adjust the calendar if I learn about more changes.

I managed to get stuff done, so I will definitely be at tomorrow's morning write-in (though only until around 11:30).
