Anyone else start at midnight?

Getting a jump start on day 1 word count?

I can't believe it's 1 in the morning and I'm still awake. I might be getting too old for this... Good thing I can sleep late tomorrow!

GO NH WRIMOS!!

Tell me about your first day of writing!

P.S. Don't forget daylight savings, fall back starts now (or at 2 AM. I forget, either way, by the time tomorrow rolls around I will have fallen back, in time, thankfully not in word count!)

Yeah, I'm burning the midnight oil myself as well. Tired, but I know that I procrastinate too much to not get as much done as I can right away. I'm new to Nanowrimo, or at least I haven't participated before. It's going fairly well so far. I wasn't originally planning to participate until.. about two hours before midnight, so I don't have any real plans or anything. But I think it's more fun that way anyway, just making it up as I go.

Counted down to midnight with other NaNo Wrimo's on Facebook, it was fun. Then just started writing. I don't plan before so I'm always surprised how quickly the characters make themselves known. Including where they live, and with who. Been able to write more than the required word total for day one, who knows, I may even write more after I sleep for a while.

Nice to have November 1st finally here.

I got a good jump on it. Now I'm sleepy and going to bed. Alex beat the pants off of me and went to bed like an hour ago. He's so fast it's silly! :P So I had to stay up longer to beat him.

I got home from a Halloween party right around midnight, but I was exhausted and just went to bed. Now I'm getting ready for church. After church, I can finally start...

Okay, I've officially started - all of 39 words so far. Hah! But it's something. I'm trying to get some other things taken care of before I really get into the writing.

1751 words so far, from the most cliche and mind-numbing first chapter possibly in the history of literature. But I'm still going! =)

Started at 5:30, which I thought was pretty decent until the radio lady reminded me it was really 4:30. 3370/50K. Going back now!
