Sounds great to me. One word at a time. this is my first time too. I'm shooting for 2,000 words a day to leave space for unforseen events that may slow me down later. As I understand it there is no wrong way to do this. For me the challenge is to not mentally edit myself and to allow myself to write really bad sentences. Once I realized poorly written sentences usually involve using far more words than necessary I was delighted to continue. This is a win win situation. I hope, at the end of this, to have a really clear outline for the story that's been getting free rent in my head for over 30 years. The fact that no one will ever read this draft makes it easier. I'm a perfectionist and would be mortified if anybody were to see the work. Most important thing for me to remember is 'It's supposed to be fun'. Keep at it mouthwideshut your 3,307 words closer to the finish line. You rock!

Thanks Yakera and it is a good idea to try to stay ahead of the game I am now on day 6 at over 18,000 and really do not even dare go and look at what i have written sometimes it comes out of me so fast i don't even know if it is making any sence, I have the hadit of shrinking my processor page down so i can need read more than one paragraph on the page, that seems to help me a lot because really i want to go back, read and re write and if i go back and read i know i would definately rewrite, Keep u p the good work and Ill check back to see how your doing!
