Hey there everybody. because of my job it looks like I'm not going to make it to many of the regular write ins.
Is there any interest in doing some in the middle of the night?
Specifically I'm thinking downtown Tim Hortons from Midnight to something like 3 or 4am.
Cons - no buses, probably no plug ins, not the most comfortable seats.
Pros - uh me? :) , feeding your coffee addictions, communing with other night owls, enjoying the Sudbury night life.
Anyone able and willing to try this?

I am all on board for anything NaNo.
Unfortunately I work a day job. I am an evenings and weekends type girl. But evenings don't go past 11:00 unless it's on a weekend for me.
Sorry I can't jump in. Good luck with your book.

Depends which downtown Tim Hortons XD I can make either one on Lorne street easily, depends when though, because I think my mum might freak out.. so I might have to sneak out of the house. xD But I want to ~ I'm sure she'd understand, particularly if I still go to school and do my chores. xD rofl.
But yeah, if you have a particular date in mind, lemme know. xD

My day job kinda prevents this for me, but it doesn't mean others can't make it. If you have particular dates in mind Aura, let me know and I can add it to the regional calendar.

Oh so very tempting! I'd love to do that as I do most of my writing at night anyway but I don't see any way I could get downtown that time of night. Best of luck finding people who can though!

So we tried an impromptu midnight write-in last Tuesday night/Wednesday morning. Do to an inability to get on the Nano site I was unable to post about it though so there were only three of us in attendance. We went from around 1AM to 5AM. Looks like we're going to try it again next Tuesday night/Wednesday morning if anyone else wants to come out.
There is one plug in so it was used in rotation so no laptop had to go the whole night on battery power.
Ms. Miriam has pictures. However I recommend against viewing them as they make it appear that I am playing air guitar rather than writing and clearly I would never waste time when on a serious nano deadline. <.<

That's awesome Aura. I'll get the event put in the calendar.
Any chance I can get a copy of the photos? Trying to put together an album with photos from any write-ins / events that occur around NaNo so I can advertise it a little better at next summer's Northern Lights Festival and at any events in between.

Hee! Maybe you just have an air guitar muse?
(OOOH! We should do a 'Describe Your Muse' thread!!!)
I would love to join you guys, but I would be dead-dead-dead the next day. Still, it's cool that we're getting so many mini-groups together for all these write ins! We're really taking this year's NaNoWriMo to heart and it's awesome on toast. :D
